Alright girls, I want to hear about what your favorite yummiest during the holidays! Bonus if you are willing to share the recipe. My family always does a homemade chocolate mousse, and you can’t forget the candied yams and sweet potato cassarole.

For vegetarians- the Spanakopita Streusel recipe from the Vegetarian Times website is so delicious all the non-vegetarians request it too. Also makes a nice potluck dish to bring to a holiday gathering.
DH is Catholic and traditionally eats seafood Christmas Eve, my daughter makes coconut shrimp and sushi.
Boxing Day I usually make Rachael Ray’s Christmas pasta recipe.

My family always has this Christmas punch that is peppermint ice cream melted in with chocolate milk. It’s so rich and delicious.

I don’t cook, bake or anything of the sort. Every year, Dh puts in a big order for treats at Swiss Colony, some are annual staples, like his beloved chocolate with sea salt (not my favorite), and some surprises. And I get my petit fours, hmmmmm.

For treats I LOVE Almond Roca. I haven’t tried this recipe personally, but it looks similar to mine: http://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/easy-homemade-almond-roca-106641
I also usually make peanut brittle. Super easy and everyone’s always impressed it’s homemade! Again not my recipe but looks similar: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/15987/moms-best-peanut-brittle/
My favourite appetizers always include shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, my mums cheese ball and baked cranberry Brie!
