I’ve just bought the boxes for my home made favours to go in and I can’t wait to assemble! Super cheap at £12.50 for 70!
Going to have a foil wrapped piece of chocolate orange fudge and a chocolate crinkle inside each one:

Most weddings I attended do have favors. However, I think it’s popular opinion on this website to skip favors. I personally will also do favors but something edible as well. That’s what many people have voiced out so far as what they want.

Yum they are awesome favours! I don’t have pics yet as wedding is too far away but we will be gifting our home made limoncello in little bottles

when I first thought about planning, I considered many non-edible favours and I couldn’t commit, due to both the cost and the fact that as a guest, it would have just ended up in a junk draw. I like the idea of giving favours, especially home made.
they sound delicious! And if it’s common knowledge between your guests that you make it. It’s a lovely personalised gift for them 😊

We made cinnamon extract. I’ve received a bunch of texts since the wedding with guests asking how best to use it. We got all the leftover bottles, which was great for us because we like it in our coffee 🙂
I wanted favours that would actually be useful to us when people left their behind haha, because couples always have leftover favours.

I am having a destination wedding on a cruise so we doing Out of Town bags full of travel essentials. So far we have some basics like pain killers, sea sick medicine, chap stick, etc. and then we are also getting lanyards for our guests to use on the ship to hold their cruise cards, cash, whatever. We are also going to put a little welcome letter/itinerary for the week of the cruise.

My Maid/Matron of Honor and I made little jars of apple butter (so. much. apple butter.) for my New England fall wedding. We’ve had rave reviews. My Mother-In-Law saved her jar and served it with ham at Christmas, it was delicious.

From what I’ve read here, non-edible favors are not popular, but because I have several food allergies, I wanted something non-edible and something people could use. We made small magnets using cartoon images that pertained to us… Cat couples because I love cats, turtles because when my husband and I first started dating, he wanted to see me all the time, but I told him I take things slowly like a turtle, couples on a bicycle because my husband loves to cycle. I made a few special magnets for the kids – Star Wars characters, otters (my niece loves them), Disney Princesses. I also made some owl magnets for my mother in law because she loved magnets… We gave them to her as soon as we finished them as she was in hospice. She passed 4 months before the wedding but my husband wanted to keep some owls in our magnets to honor and include her.
And we still have a bunch of them on our frig!

We will have these:
Placecards that are also bottle openers, thus double as favours. We have a Mad Hatters theme, quite happy I found these 🙂

We are doing 2 OZ Shot Glasses… and we will be creating a shot specifically in our honor and will be inviting guests to “have a shot on us” . It’s non Traditional and is something that most of our guests could use again… or save in their liquor cabinet for a rainy day… lol …
P.S. That isn’t our actual glass… but had the colour tones we ordered.

We got playing cards. The plastic case has a customized sticker with our wedding date. We thought it was something that a lot of people (in our family and friend group, anyway) could use that wasn’t food.

We’re doing apple butter too! My FI’s extended family owns an orchard, so we’re buying it from them. The nice thing is it has FI’s last name on it, so it was both personal and edible. 🙂
