I had a lot of horrible dates online but a funny one that didn’t work out was one I went out with a few times my friends and I dubbed Peter Pan. We met on Ok Cupid. The guy had a degree but couldn’t handle the “stress” of a normal 9-5 job so he took a low paying job and lived with his parents (didn’t find this out for awhile). Every date was like a junior high date. He only wanted to go mini golfing, bowling, etc. He even said what are the jr high kids doing these days?  He was in his 30:”s!!!

I’m glad I didn’t give up though I did meet my future husband on the same site. He’s dedicated to his  career which is why he was still single (worked on typical date nights), romantic, caring, and acts like a real adult!  Can’t wait to marry him this weekend!

I was on  okcupid, match and eharmony at one point.

Can’t remember where I met him but one guy started telling me about his colonoscopy, and all his problems at work. Literally the man didn’t say a single positive thing about ANYTHING during the entire date. Then towards the end he started picking fights with me about various controversial topics like the environment, global warming, evolution, abortion. I kept trying to dodge or tell him lets agree to disagree but he just kept arguing with me. It was bizarre! I was seriously waiting for cameras to jump out of bushes and be like “Suprise! You’re on the Worlds Worst Online Date Show”

Shortly thereafter I met my now husband (horray 3 days married ;)). Met him on okcupid and we connected right away, talked for 3 hours and closed the coffee shop out. Just gotten better ever since.

I met Fiance after posting a personals ad on craigslist. I got a lot of weird responses that I saved to a word document for future LOLs. One guy told me he was good at oral. Clearly, Fiance was the winner. I was disappointed, though, that I didn’t get any penis pictures. I told Fiance that on our first date, and he was entertained.

To be fair, he might have been trying to make a really dumb joke. After all, he was probably stoned 😛

I used OKCupid for a while, and ultimately met my Darling Husband through it. Our first date went a couple hours past when I should have gone home to sleep, so I ended up writing the Greek alphabet on a napkin, but luckily he still wanted to see me again anyways lol.

The most interesting story I have is when I went on a first date with a guy and it went fairly well, and then before our second date I was hanging out with some new friends I had made through a different guy I had met online. Turns out they knew him, and had some really unflattering things to say about him! I texted him saying who I was with and then he called me, and I awkwardly told him that I didn’t want to see him that night or ever again.

Also I went out with a guy 3 times and then I found out he had never heard of Frank Sinatra. I just couldn’t.

I had a couple casual dates with a guy I met on Myspace -yeah. After our last date he called to fess up that he was also seeing someone else (totally fine- never expected to be exclusive!). What was NOT fine was he told me the other girl was married! WTF- I am not dating someone who doesn’t care about breaking up marriages! Not cool.

Sci-Fi-Chic:  I’m three years older than my Fiance.  We met online and his first message to me basically in a nutshell said “I don’t know if you are open to dating younger guys, but I liked your profile.”  I was so irritated with him I HAD to write him back.  Somehow one thing led to another and I agreed to go out with him.  So glad he decided to offend me 🙂

Sci-Fi-Chic:  The way he tells it, the line was all meant to irritate me enough to respond.  He wanted a way to stand out from the other guys on there.  Mission accomplished!

Sci-Fi-Chic:  Well it turned out he had once had webcam sex with his best friend’s girlfriend. I know people can change, but I was on the fence about him anyways lol so why bother?
