afindlayay1859 :  I LOVE the warm cozy feel you gave with the flannel! I had a pink/white floral vellum for mine…still have leftovers in a box, I guess I need to put together another suite and take photos for the memory of having to put that crap together, lol.

Hey ladies!

I’m super excited about my save-the-dates for my 2017 destination wedding in Hawaii. The theme is travel so we went with a boarding ticket idea, and the invitations will be passports.

Design: done by my fiance (it’s pretty convenient that he’s graphic designer, haha)
Mailer envelope: air mail envelopes form amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002R5ARCM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1), addresses hand written by my Maid/Matron of Honor

Boarding pass envelope: cut out with a silhouette cameo from 12×12″ paper
Band: teal paper from Michaels
Sticker for band: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00007M5LB/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1, used home printer
Save the date: letterpress done by PrintWest in Seattle

Here are ours. Had something different picked yesterday but the more I viewed them the less I liked so changed my mind. 😀

This was our save the date. It’s credit card sized and made from a similar material. Can’t show our invites just yet as I’m still putting the finishing touches to them.

romeantic :  its a thick plastic. I wish I made them myself! I ordered them through a UK based company http://www.savethedatecards.co.uk

We ordered 50 cards with black envelopes for £70 (? $90ish)

romeantic :  we are designing them ourselves to reflect our wedding colours (turquoise blue and silver) I found a free template download which included the main invite and the inserts required for a pocketfold.  I have the pockets already, in the middle of finding the right invite paper/backing paper/belly bands etc etc
