I just finished up my consult with my caterer too! Our menu is not set yet, but this is what we have so far:

After the ceremony we will start with passed h’doureves including, beef tenderloin croustini and mini twice baked potatoes

For dinner our guests will have a choice between chicken prisciutto and apple cider pork tenderloin with a strawberry spinach salad

Sides will be confetti rice pilaf and french green beans

We will be doing cake for dessert and then also having a candy bar that doubles as favors!

I love food threads!!! Our wedding is a week from TOMORROW (holy moly) and we are having…

-cheese/cracker/bread display, fruit/vegetable crudite, and 4 passed apps: spinach pie, pesto-stuffed mushrooms, coconut shrimp, and prosciutto & fontinella wrapped asparagus.

-dinner is plated and guests had a choice of filet mignon with mushroom glace, parmesan & fried onion-crusted halibut with caper buerre blanc, or vegetarian pasta shells stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, eggplant, zucchini, squash, mushrooms, asparagus, and roasted red pepper sauce. They’ll also have a plated field green salad and rolls before the dinner course.

-for dessert we have wedding cupcakes instead of cake! There will be 9 different flavours (salted caramel, red velvet, lemon drop, double chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, dark chocolate raspberry, tiramisu, pumpkin spice, and cherry chip), as well as a large mini-dessert table with cannolis, brownies, cake pops, lemon bars, mini cheesecakes, etc etc. Also a coffee station with lots of toppings – whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, cinnamon, syrups, etc. I love dessert, so choosing the treats was my favourite part!

-at 11:30PM we are hosting an after-party at the club next door to our venue and serving sliders & french fries, vegetarian pizza, and cookies.

Apps: clam chowder, chicken wings (FIs specialty which he will be making),cheese/crackers, mini meatballs, veg, 2 hot dips (one is artichoke)

Dinner buffet: sesame garlic short ribs, pesto chicken, eggpant rolatini, roasted veggies, salad, roasted potatoes, penne al a vodka

Dessert: wedding cake! Chocolate with chocolate mousse and almond cake with raspberries and rasberry mousse, and Italian cookies of course (my mom insists).
