I didn’t see a recent thread about this so I thought I’d start one. Any ladies with non-diamond engagement rings? Moissanite, colored gemstones, bands without gems, whatever you’re wearing – I’d love to see your pictures!
Also – did you want something other than a diamond, or did your fiance/husband surprise you with something unique?
Mine’s an aquamarine! I wanted an aqua because it’s my birthstone.

That’s gotta be the most beautiful aquamarine ring I’ve ever seen!
My non-diamond is a blue sapphire. Royal blue is my favorite color, and my then-FI/now-DH really wanted to give me a colored gemstone (he likes that, traditionally, colored gemstones were the most common stones used in engagement rings). We designed it together, so I definitely got a pretty large say in the matter.

Well, I don’t know if mine counts because it technically is a diamond, but it’s a blue diamond, so I figured I would add it anyway (: My fiancé wanted to give me something unique, out of the ordinary, so he chose a blue diamond. He loves the color and their natural beauty, and I couldn’t be happier (:

It was my groom who didn’t want non-diamonds!
When we upgraded, he picked rubies/diamonds due to that Bible verse about a good wife being more valuable than rubies (I swooned) and because I’d been interested in colored gemstones all along (yay!).

I have a ruby ring we got recently.. It’s my DH birthstone and I love it. He wants to do a new ring for our vow renewal in 2 years and I’m debating if I want a moissanite or another Ruby! Hard choices, I know! Here’s my set…

I have a 1.50 carat diamond ring, but my hubby recently bought me two beautiful gemstone center (with diamond accents,) upgrades. The Tacori has a garnet center, ( husband’s birthstone) and the blue is a tanzanite. For the cost of those two I could have upgraded my diamond to a real honker but I really loved the idea of having something different with the gemstones. I rarely wear my diamond ring and we’ll probably end up selling it eventually. When I was first engaged, I would NEVER have considered anything but a diamond but the older I get, the more ” color” I like in my life! Ha ha!

I hear you on enjoying color and variety over the years. I know that I enjoy switching up my celebration stack in different ways. I still look married. lol
I bought a CZ replica of my original e-ring, though, and wear it frequently. I enjoy waltzing down memory lane with it.
