I just bought my wedding dress yesterday. I’m not even sure it looks like a typical wedding dress, let alone a “popular” one.
Here it is!
It’s a Suzanne Neville Sample dress that I bought at the non-profit shop Bridal Garden in NYC. 🙂

I don’t have a picture of me in it available to upload right now, but mine is JCrew’s Principessa in lace and organza. I LOVE that its so different from the typical wedding dress. The pictures really don’t do it justice. Honestly I first fell in love with the Amsale Coco but it is a few seasons old and I couldn’t find it in my area. Then I saw this JCrew dress and it is so ridiculously similar to the Amsale dress that I couldn’t believe it!
Here is the Amsale Coco
And the JCrew Principessa
The waist is a little bit different, but I absolutely love my dress. I do think it looks a bit plain and too sweet in photos, but when I put it on my friends and mother (the biggest critic) were instantly convinced that it was the one.

I love this thread! There are some gorgeous dresses here. I’ve been searching for another bride in my dress, but so far haven’t seen anyone. I got it on clearance at David’s Bridal, I’m not sure of the name or number. I think I love it, lol.

@VampireBride: I’ve never been one to follow tradition. lol
My first wedding was in 1990 and the reception was in a barn and I wore a blush pink dress…back then both of those were pretty much unheard of! I had so many of the people from our church looking at my dress, tilting their heads and saying ‘Is it PINK?!’ I probably would have went with something much darker back then but that was as much compromise as I would make. I guess my high school art teacher rubbed off on me when she showed us her emerald green velvet ball gown! lol
I’ve never liked being the same and although I don’t have the figure that I had back then I still don’t really fall into anyone’s mold. Why be any different for my wedding?!

i’ve only found one bride online (and I think she was overseas) that is wearing my dress…mine is a San Patrick Resina, when I saw it in the bag I started geeking out over the lace, then I put it on, that was it,…love <3
