Hmm, ours is definitely lower than the average in this thread! Costs so far for our elopement:

$350 for officiant Celia Milton – could have got Mitch the Minister for $100 less, but found that he was hard to get a hold of and much less responsive so we decided to bite the bullet and go with Celia’s company.

$98 for my dress from Shareen’s Vintage – may end up getting some slight alterations to get the straps shortened, so could be another $50 on top of that. It is a gorgeous 1920s style short cream dress with beading around the bust.

$100 for flowers/bouquet.

$4 for my earrings from Etsy. $25 for an ivory fur shrug from Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market (looooove this, although I’m going to need to sew on a new clasp). $65 for my shoes from Amazon.

$1500 for our photographer for 3 hours (covering ceremony, portraits and start of reception). He is one of the top photographers in NYC so we are really happy, he is AMAZING.

Free – Cost of small ceremony in Central Park (for over 20 people you need a permit, but our ceremony is going to be way smaller than that).

$375 for our venue for 5 hours – a friend’s apartment rooftop garden with fantastic views out over Manhattan. We will be having about 40 guests to the party.

Alcohol – Maybe $400? Have only bought champagne so far for about $100 for 4 bottles for toasts, but the rest will likely be spirits for cocktails and less expensive wine.

Canapes – Maybe $600? Catered by our favorite restaurants.

So about $3500 all up. Photographer is by far the biggest cost, but we’re totally cool with that. Plus $650 for my platinum and moissanite engagement ring (which I have got a lot of compliments on). Fiance’s ring might be another $50 – $100.

Having just finished booking almost all of my vendors, here is our breakdown for our wedding (Brooklyn)

Venue = $125/pp (depending on head count will probably be around 20k total)

Flowers = $4400

Prop for Escort Card Table = $225

Officiant = $500

Dress + Veil = $1300

Shoes/Jewelry = $300

Favors = $400

Photographer = $3000

DJ = $1750

Invitations = $1k

Misc (postage, a few small decor items for reception) = $200

Thats 33k right there, and still haven’t booked anyone for hair or makeup. No doubt it is a lot of money, but (sadly) probably well below average for NYC. I’m very happy with the prices I got, I have really made an effort to search for vendors with reputations for working with people in terms of budget.

@mrssperanz: Thank you!! I got married at the Tosca Marquee it was something around $40-50 per person.  The prices are pretty resonable, food is good, but they really are not flexible.

@macbeth91512:  Your photbooth and coordinator prices look great.  If you would be willing to share your vendors in a private message it would be greatly appreicated.  Thanks!!!
