Oh my that picture with your dad is just too precious
The placement of your veil is perfect!
Awe I adore that you wore your veil to rehearse! Too cute!
Best reference ever.

You look stunning and your boquet is so unique and pretty!

I wish I could do my hair over! I gave my stylist (we’re close…been seeing her for 12+ years) a little too much creative control and I think she got in over her head with timing. Wouldn’t change a thing about my veil! It was mother’s…we turned it from a juliet cap to a clip.

Aww thanks, that’s so sweet, you’ve just made my day. I didn’t want a full on posy or a trailing bouquet so had a good compromise.

- Wedding: October 2013 - Dalhousie Castle
I had long hair at the time. The hair dresser curled it and pinned it up and my elbow length veil sat just on top of it.
Here’s a side one:

Thank you! It’s definitely one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see the professional photos our friend Ryan took.
I did face some criticism (mostly from people who weren’t coming to the wedding) about the fact that I wasn’t growing my hair out, wearing heels, or getting contacts for the big day. Like you, I have worn glasses since before I can remember. I did try contacts in high school but it only lasted about a week so really my only options were wear my glasses or squint my way up the aisle. I’m really happy that I looked and felt like myself on our wedding day. I also think our wedding pictures (well the preview we’ve gotten back so far) are absolutely gorgeous even with the glasses 🙂

Also, I love your rehearsal look. You look so happy and gorgeous!

@excitedtobeMRSF: if you are going to a salon for your hair, they will place your headpiece and veil for you

I had my hair done professionally, but my veil was huge, so they just shoed my mom and Maid/Matron of Honor how to put my veil in for me.
The coordinator helped me get the veil off before going into the reception. The hair piece was really nice and forgiving, it covered up any little messed up spots where the veil was placed.
