Awwh! Adorable πŸ™‚

My fiance proposed just last December. He came to my dorm (I was still in college) for the weekend and he proposed right in my dorm room (now I won’t ever forget my school and all it’s… glories…) hehe, anyway it was all very sudden!

He does an online comic about his life and he told me he updated it while he was at work. So he sat on my bed as I went over to my computer to check it. And well I came across his comic and immediately started to ball my eyes out and I looked over and there he was on one knee with the ring! It was so sweet and I’d say pretty unique, at least a little bit πŸ˜‰

Here’s an article about my fiance and I and our little proposal (with a link to the original proposal): http://content.usatoday.com/communities/popcandy/post/2010/01/a-pop-reader-pops-the-question—-in-a-comic/1

For the proposal story to make sense, you have to know another story first.

The first story that you have to know is this. Fiance has a big, bald head and his friends have given him the nickname “dome head”. They were trying to come up with a nickname for me (they didn’t like Mrs. Dome head) and somehow they decided on “Mrs. Potato Head” (gotta love ’em)!

Now on to the proposal. Fiance and I were meeting in Las Vegas for Labor Day weekend. We were there with two friends of ours who got married last June. I was the last to arrive and when I got there, we went up to our hotel room to drop my stuff off. Up in the room, Fiance pulls out a bag, telling me he got me a present (I just figured it was something little since we hadn’t seen one another in 12 weeks – long distance between LA and Atlanta is no fun – lol). I open it and its a Mrs. Potato Head doll! I started throwing the tissue paper at him and giving him a hard time for getting me this little kids toy just because his friends came up with a ridiculous nickname. Then I heard something rattling. It turns out he’d put the ring in the back compartment of Mrs. Potato Head where you are supposed to store the extra pieces! Our friends were ready with the camera to capture the moment.

I love telling my proposal story. I knew he had bought the ring, but had no idea when he’d propose. My birthday passed – nothing. Christmas – nothing. New Year – nothing. We were going on vacation to India in January and never thought he’d propose there, so I put it out of my mind. I though there was no way he’d carry an expensive ring on holiday.

Anyway, on the third day of our trip we were visiting the Taj Mahal and the men had to line up separately from the ladies for security searching. While in line, he explained to our tour guide his plans.

When inside, he asked the tour guide to take a few pictures of us in front of the Taj. After 3 pics, I started to walk on, but FH grabbed my arm and spun me around. The next thing I knew he was down on his knee. As you can tell from the photo, I was totally speechless. To this day, I still don’t know if I said yes. Hehehehe. It was totally the perfect proposal.

So I was out in England for 3 weeks with my now fiance’. It was on october 20th, my 19th birthday we went to London.

Well I was looking around in shops he asked if he could get something out of my purse and of course I said go ahead. Knowing that I carried most of his things in there. When he gave my purse back to me I headed into a shop. As we were walking towards the London eye he stopped and bent down like he was going to tie his shoe. I stood there and took pictures of big ben just then I heard my name. I spun around and there he was on one knee with the ring in his hand. Everyone around us was looking and with tears I screamed my answer “YES”
