I’m super excited we finally have a reception menu!!!!! YAY!!!! I can not WAIT to eat at the reception now! My uncle’s ex will be in charge of the catering and let me just say mommy can throw down. So here is the break down:
-spinach & artichoke dip
-Antipasta platters (cheese, salami, sausage, olives, honey mustard sauce)
– mini Mussolini Sandwiches (includes salami, I think turkey,mozzarella cheese on tiny sesame seed buns)
– garlic parmesan wings
-Fruit and cheese display w/crackers
-seafood gumbo w/rice
-carving station w/prime rib (comes with dinner rolls, horseradish, and Au jus sauce)
-stuffed red potatoes
-shrimp alfredo w/buttered angel hair pasta
-chicken & sausage jambalaya
-Caesar salad station with a choice of grilled chicken or shrimp
Mini praline bites
Mini cheesecake bites

@sjlberry: It sounds great! However, the wings would make me nervous, as a guest. I wouldnt want to get sauce on me, and my hands, and hte bone would pose a problem. As much as I love wings, i’d probably pass on them!

simple but yummy!
I was kind of worried about them as well so she suggested the garlic parmesean wings so there won’t be as much sauce involved. However I do understand.

Wow that is intense. But sounds delicious.
For our wedding we’re doing:
Crudite Platter, Vermont Cheese Crostini’s, and Poached Tiger Shrimp with cocktail sauce
Passed Hors d’Oeuvres- Maple glazed proscuitto wrapped scallops, veggie egg rolls, and venison sliders,
Mesculin Salad plated
Buffet- Seasonal veggies, potato gratin, Maple Soya Galzed Salmon, and Herb Dry Rub Roasted Tenderloin with Pinot Noir Sauce
A variety of pies and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Sundae bar

WOW!!!!! It ALL sounds Delish!!!!! I would be full just with the cocktail hour alone! I like that you have a little of everything. I absolutely love your reception menu! I forgot to add our specialty drinks are Cosmo martini and Long Island Iced Tea.
Your menu sounds delish as well. Especially the scallops and the salmon! Yum!

I wish I ad more food for my guests but this will have to suffice:

Smoked Brisket and Pulled Pork
3 cole slaw spread, green beans, potato salad, mac and chese, i forgot the last side
The usual sodas and teas, and a signature drink tea with lime and mango.
I cant wait this was the first place my hubby took me to when I first came out to nashville to visit him. Hes friends with the owner and the food is absolutly amazing. Plus we;re having a bunch of people from out of town what better way to introduce them to kentucky and ourselves with amazing bbq? So excited!!
ETA: forgot dessert i am hand making chocolate with buttercream icing, white chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and pumpkin chocolate chip cake with cinnamon cream cheese icing in 8oz mason jars for all of our guests!

Cheese and fruit tray before dinner, plus cocktail hour (open bar) and wine.
hors d’oeuvres (gourmet pizzas, chicken sate, spanikopita, spicey buffalo chicken turnovers for hot, and then veggies and dip, deviled eggs, stuffed bell peppers, and tomato basil and mozzarella for cold.)
The soup is minestrone, and you also get a salad and I think bread.
Then for food it’s chicken cutlets,carved turkey, filet mignon, baked chicken, shrimp scampi w/rice, pasta w/red sauce, chicken tortellini alfredo, whipped potatoes, rice pilaf, and vegetables du jour, farfalle with pesto sweet peas and red pepper, baby reds and gorgonzola potato salad, oriental chicken salad, shrimp and rice salad
wedding cake served with peaches jubilee flambe’.
later I have a coffee and tea station with two trays of mini cream puffs, cannoli s and eclairs.

Forgot to add that there will be a fish option for the 3 people who don’t eat chicken. And crostini at cocktail hour as well (maybe). Still working on the cocktail hour food as it’s diy.
