I did them because I wanted something super funky and fun since our wedding invites were more graphic, but pretty simple. I used the rehearsal as an excuse to go crazy 😉 I folded the two pages together, and then tied them with red & white twine, and put them in kraft paper envelopes that I made. Overboard much?! LOL!

@Jerseygirl23: Ditto on that.  Evite.com all the way!

@Nola: Who sends out rehersal invites? Sounds like a waste of money to me. You only need to invite your bridal party to the rehersal.

@Nola: Thanks! It was SO much fun making them. Since our rehearsal venue was a bit out of the way (I even had trouble finding it the first time), I thought a map would be best since most of our friends were coming from the city and weren’t familiar with the area. Plus I have a serious love/hate relationship with map making after the wedding map, LOL!

@Miss Tattoo: Uhh I did. I used left over paper I had from other projects, made my own envelopes from kraft paper I had bought crazy on sale, and designed them on my laptop in a couple hours. It only cost me about $5 in postage to send them all. I suppose I could have sent them via email with a PDF attachment if I didn’t want to pay for the postage. We only invited our wedding party (and parents of course), but everyone really liked the fun invite to set the tone for a fun night. I agree, it’s totally not something that’s necessary, but I don’t think it’s an awful idea either if that’s what floats your boat.

@bakerella: I didn’t say it was an awful idea. It’s just something, at least to me, that the WIC put out there to get brides to spend more money. That’s all.
