Mr. Overall had a heck of a time deciding what ring he wanted to present to me, after all his hard work I have to brag a bit on his journey-which included a custom built ring $$$ down and him turning it down for not being quite right-
Alas: Mr. Overall found a vaulted vintage piece from the 50’s that he instantly loved. In those days the wedding band and ER were already placed together and before you were married you were to wear the ER closer to the heart and once you marry the ring is to be flipped to have the wedding band towards the heart <3 I’m really looking forward to flipping this baby around 🙂
Whats your ring story?

Darling Husband and I married very young and I was the first out of my group of friends to get engaged. I didnt know ANYTHING about erings. I just knew that I wanted a Princess cut (this was before anyone I knew had one) solitaire, in white gold or platinum. Thats exactly what I got! My original engagement ring was a .25 ct IF G colored princess cut in white gold with a plat head. I loved that ring because I knew how much he had to sacrifice at the time to save up for it. He said he had originally wanted to get me a 1ct but he chose quality over quantity at the time. 😀 ( I just love him)
Darling Husband is a huge fan of solitiares; he said he likes the all the attention is one the center stone. Hes not big on bling lol.
On our first anniversary I switched from a plain solid white gold band to a channel set band to match my Ering.
5 years later he upgraded my engagement ring to a 1.01 ct VS2 G color and kept the channel set band.
Im super happy with the decision to upgrade. I dont regret it at all. I am IN LOVE with my ring!
Here are some before and afters.
.25 to 1.01 engagement ring.
