Our RSVPs are postcards and I got the inspiration from another post on here

I have recently seen a post where someone did

“____ of _____ guests will be attending” and wrote in the number in the 2nd blank that way the guest know that that’s there limit….. I am currently working at adding that on ours. lol

Also we’re having childcare for our ceremony due to space so I’ve made available a box to check for age of guest.

@amnystik oooh, these are nice! I wish i have seen these before – these are great! Mine are very standard, i asked the responders to just print their names on the back. I love the idea.

This is what we did.

We debated somehow limiting guests’ ability to add extra people, but ultimately we put our trust in them that they would all know better than to do that.  And everyone did.  I think it takes away a little something when you limit your guests in that way.  And if anyone does get the wrong imrpession, all it takes is a gentle phone call.

We are doing an online RSVP, but you could still use this concept… “We have reserved X seats in your honor” I hope that will get the point across 🙂

You could easily write in (or print out) any card with the number of guests already filled in 🙂

Here’s a photo of ours.  My mom was concerned that people would think “in spirit” meant dead people, rather than like, “can’t make it, but will be thinking of you on the day”, so I changed it to plain old “declines” on the final copy.

@Mrs. Meowerson: LOL, thanks! 😉 I cannot take credit for it, though… early on in the invite process, I google image searched “funny RSVP’s” and this wording popped up somewhere.

My family definitely got a kick out of!

I’m Irish, and we are doing an Irish Bell Ceremony so it was perfect!
