I absolutely HATED my engaement photos. And it was not because of the photographer..it was me. I hated how I looked in them. The damn photographer wanted to book the shoot early on a Sunday morning, and Im not a morning person. I stayed up too late the night before and I looked like absolute shit the day they were taken. I had big bags under my eyes and my make up looked crappy. It was humid and moist out that morning and my hair was all frizzy. My Fiance looked good and I think overall the pictures were taken well, but I hate how I look in all of them.

O well..the wedding pics are what Im looking forward to anyway.

My invitations got printed in what appeared to me to be two glaringly different inks….which aparently only half the people I asked actually noticed the problem……I had a meltdown, it was also that time of the month so everything was 10x more dramatic than it needed to be. Most people would not have noticed and no one would have cared but me…..but they are being reprinted.

i cannot find the right letters (style and size) to indicate CARDS on my card box. lmao it’s been driving me nuts but i’ve gotten to the point where i think people will figure out that the beautiful box with a slot outlined with pearls on the gift table is where cards go… time to let it go!

i’m enjoying this thread a lot 😀

I told my bridesmaid she couldn’t wear her Louboutin’s to the wedding because they are better than my Kate Spade’s

I thought my venue included chair covers and sashes in their pricing and just found out it’ll be $3 per chair for covers and sashes, which is not in the budget, since we’re having so many guests, and we already signed the contract with that venue! I know it’s not that big of a deal, chair covers don’t matter that much anyway, but still. I wanted them! *tantrum

We’ve been married almost 2 years now, but my first-World problem was not being able to have the dance floor where we wanted it. Our wedding coordinator switched a week before the wedding, so there was a mix-up with communication between the old one and the new one… needless to say, I thought it was going to throw everything off. Come the day of the wedding, however, the dance floor was fine where it was, and no one was the wiser.

vintagebride143:  Here it is! And it matches my wedding colors perfectly. But the site says 10-30 days for shipping, so I suppose I have to be patient 🙁

When my husband and I started dating, we had a date about the cutest baby animal. I vote baby elephant. He votes bay panda bear. This still comes up in regular conversation. So I really wanted our cake toppers to be a panda and elephant. It occured to me that the elephant ring holder I had painted with my cousin would work for the bride topper and so I found an appropriately sized panda counterpart on Etsy (actually half of a salt and pepper shaker set).

So then I want to have a little veil for the elephant and a little top hat for the panda. I was able to fashion a veil out of some spare tulle that worked fine. But I searched forever for an appropriately sized top hat. Nothing at Michaels, nothing at Hobby Lobby. Finally found something online that looked to be the right size. Bought one for $5.50. Then when it showed up I got a gross instead of one, so I didn’t know what to do with all those extras and shoved them in a closet! But whatever, I glue one on and it looks great.

Then we go to cut the cake I realize that it’s fallen off!!! I didn’t let it bother me – but come on!!! All that and then no top hat?!?

Anybody want 143 tiny plastic top hats?

The paper color I’m using for my menu is called “natural”, and I’m heartbroken that I can’t find any “cream puff”.

Our date is set for March 21, 2015. I went and met with the florist last week & she told me I most likely couldn’t have peonies for my bouquets. i almost broke down and started crying! I’m still upset about it, but I’ll get over it! Lol
