I jog at 6.5 mph for 20 minutes with the incline at 2.  Then I put the incline up all the way (12) and I walk at 3.7mph for another 20-40 minutes, depending on how I feel.

I like to do intervals to keep from getting bored. I start with a walk of 3.5 mph for .10 then go up to 5.0 for .10, 6.0 mph, 5.0 mph, 7.0 mph, 5.0 mph 8.0 mph, and 5.0 mph for 3 miles.  If I feel the need to walk I will go to 3.5 after the last 5.0. Other than that I will jog at 5.5…I am training for a half so the last run was 8 miles. The other day I tried an incline of 2 for a quarter of a mile at 5.0. Someone on here told me intervals were really good and it does keep me from getting bored!
