I would love to name my kids Alastair (boy) or Adelaide (girl). Sadly, both have been vetoed. Hope these names end up on someone else’s list!
How did you come up with Ally? I’ve only heard it as a nickname (short for Allison). It’s spelled differently from Ali, so maybe you could still use it! Or maybe Lauren Ellie, Lauren Ella, or Lauren Isla?
Ive always loved Owen, but that’s out for me as FI’s brother’s middle name is Owen, and he’s a tool.
I also love Bronwyn. I actually work with one at the moment!
We named our little girl Embrie. We have never heard it before.
If we have a boy, we will 99.99% for sure name him Xavier and call him “X” for short. I also like the name Julian but it sounds funny with our last name.
If we have a girl… she might go without a name for a long time because we can’t decide on one! Also, DH is scared to have girls so he doesn’t want to think about it. =P
If we have a boy, I really really extremely want to name him Thomas Petty or Thomas Reeves. First name not so unusual, but I don’t think either middle name is popular. Both are grandfathers’ names, so they’re very special to me. I’d settle for just Thomas but Fiance is pushing back on even that.
Fiance is a III, so for a while there was debate about making baby a IV. But Fiance doesn’t even go by his name because it’s so old fashioned. I won’t say it, but it’s similarly outdated to, oh, say, Eugene Clarence. In the end I said it was up to him because it’s his family name and I know those are very important to some people.
Names that I like are:
Boy:
Alexei (now eliminated cause of an ex named Alex)
Lucien
Artemis (yes, for a boy)
Lachlan
Girl:
Ryanne (pronounced Ryan) Keiki
Tesla Jade (I am in love love love with this one)
Cadence Lea (pronounced Leah)
Evalin
And. The ONLY name we’ve been able to agree on, boy or girl… Solstice Raine.
Love some of these names!
The name DH and I have decided on for #2 whether it’s a boy or girl, is Reese Santana. The first name isn’t so unusual but I have never met anyone in real life with the name (first or middle) Santana. DH likes it a lot more than I do, but it’s growing on me. Our last name is Hispanic sounding so we wanted a middle name that would make the whole thing flow.
Girls:
Nella
Mia
Milena
Lottie
Millia
Amelie
Amity
Boys:
Kallan
Kaiden/Caden
Rylan
Ryker
Reeve
Had my heart set on naming my daughter Arelis .. (Ah-ray-lees) since I was a teenager.. but it didn’t sit too well with DH cuz he’s not a big fan of unusual names.. with collaboration we came up with
Girl:
Julianna Arelis Arista
Isabella (no middle name yet)
Boy:
Alexander Michael Jared
Lucas Kalel (DH is a huge superman fan)
These are names that some of the people I know named their childern.
Girl:
Indigo Willow
Evalise
Boy:
Keithan
Dhevin
Malakai
Mine aren’t that unusual (I like classic names, i think sometimes being creative can become a burden for the kids when they grow up)
Boys:
Oliver
Henry (Harry)
Jonathan (Jack)
Patrick (i’d spell it the traditional way:Pádraig But i think it would make his life hell!)
Fionn
Finn
Girls:
Lavinia
Layla
Elenore
Caitlin
Marianne
Tessa
Molly
Willa
