@Mrs.LaFountain:  YES! Trash TV! How could I have forgotten that one? Any reality garbage I love… it helps me shut my brain off. It also makes me not seem so crazy as some of those reality “stars”. Hehe.

Hitting the gym helps sometimes. I am also a huge fan of dancing it out. I dance all over my living room when I’m stressed out. And sex. I didn’t realize it until a few weeks ago… but sex helps a lot when I’m stressed out. I also bake when I’m stressed out. I can’t beat people so I beat eggs. But my best way of getting rid of stress is making lists. I make lists of things I need to do and in what order they need to be done in. Seeing things all written out usually helps calm me down. Even if it doesn’t help me realize that there isn’t as much as I thought (sometimes there’s more!), it for sure helps me put them in a way that’s easier to tackle.

When I’m stressed out, I love to clean! You get rid of some frustrated energy and you end up with a clean and organized apartment/house. I like to turn the the radio too 🙂

Quiet place, preferably dark, fluffy blanket and one of my favourite books.

Or really really loud powermetall and a glass of alcoholic beverage d’jour 😉

And cooking, when I cook I am so relaxed and don’t think about anything else…

Working out. Yoga is best, but sometimes when I’m angry stressed I need to really work it out (think boxing). Deep breathing also helps. I try not to rely on food or drinking to help me out because I have a pretty freckled past with eating disoders…so sometimes food can stress me out more. Sticking to a schedule and knowing what to expect next helps me, so sometimes I make lists of everything I need to do in a day and feel super accomplished when I cross each one off!

Zumba, Jack & Coke, hot shower, On Demand shows (just started watching Nurse Jackie), a good book, Words with friends (driod app), and …….. SEX !!!!! I used to do retail therapy but that only gets me back to thinking about the wedding….

Swimming (work out swimming not lounge swimming) and spin classes are AWESOME. Especially spin classes, music is blaring and working your little butt off and then right after the work out you can just sit in a long hot bath or shower. This is definitely my #1 way to decompress. Plus it makes you feel better about fitting in your dress 😉

Other ways that are not as intense, walking trails in the woods, classical music, and backroad driving.
