I did a channel set for my wedding band because it felt more comfortable with my ering. I’m going to get a shared prong eternity for my next anniversary for my right hand. I prefer the look and feel of shared prong on it’s own.

This is why I did a 5 stone band.  I love the idea of an eternity band,  but all the ones I tried on were uncomfortable. My aunt got one for an anniversary and she had to get it reset because it was that uncomfortable.

I got one from Berricle to test out when I was deciding on a wedding band and found it to be really uncomfortable (unfortunately, since I think they’re beautiful!). I went with a French pave eternity instead, but honestly, even that’s uncomfortable sometimes… so maybe I just have weird sensitive fingers or something.

I have a shared prong band as my engagement ring band. It has very little prongs and is a low profile band.  It never bothers me.

Nat82 :  I have shared prong 9 stone band so it is more than halfway around the wedding band. It has never irritated me at all but i do recall some bees saying theirs did. Seems like it’s a case-by-case issue.

Nat82 :  my finger is a size 6.5 although I’ve been cooking some seriously delicious food recently so its getting to a 7 rather quick! ๐Ÿคท‍โ™€๏ธ. The stones are 14 pointers, here’s a lil grassy pic for ya:

I have a shared prong eternity band. Aprox. 10 Pointers. I have only trail worn it a couple of days. It took me like 30 min to get used to it because it’s more “present” on the finger than my ering alone. But after that I forgot it’s even there. Very comfortable in my opinion.

In a couple of weeks I can tell you more. ๐Ÿ˜Š gettin married May 1st and will put it trough the mill immediately on our honeymoon which will include hiking and surfing and diving and swimming and beach and pool and long boarding.

MiaSuperstar :  you might want to leave it in the room when swimming, as the water temperature can affect your finger size.  some people would prob suggest the other activities but i mean you know your fingers best.  i had a ring fall off once in water – once was enough!

rolypoly :  thank you for your concern ๐Ÿ˜Š

I never take any of my rings off for any reason except snowboarding because I have this deep rooted paranoia of breaking my wrists or fingers.

Only once in my life a Cartier trinity took off flying. I burned my hand with boiling oil. Rather I knew it was going to happen and I jerked it so hard away from the pan that the ring was flung off my finger and hit the wall behind me. The ring survived that. My hand was less lucky. I had a bandaged hand and wrist and couldn’t wear my ring. But i loved it so much I had it in my purse and that got stolen when someone broke into my car (stupid me for leaving the purse in the car).

So. I never take my rings off. Ever.
