For sure I’m getting a plain wedding band, but I can’t shake really wanting a shared prong ring. My ering’s a high set sapphire halo, and I don’t want to wear it every day for fear of damaging it. I’d love to have a little everyday bling, so I’m considering getting shared prong wedding ring. SO’s fine with whatever I want, though he’d want me to get diamond, while I’d like moissy.
This is a 2mm silver cz band.
How does the thickness look? Is it good on its own, or should I go slightly thicker, like 2.5mm?
Oh, and I’d love to see your shared prong bands, preferably on their own, and know the thickness.

I love the 2mm, but can you try on other thicknesses too? It’s hard to visualize what you’ll like on your hand without seeing it.

@Almost Mrs.P: I don’t have access to anything thicker at the moment, unfortunately. I wish I did, because I’d like to see it, too. If this seems too skinny, I’ll try to find something thicker.

I have a 2mm shared prong band and I think it’s a little too thin on its own. If I were wearing it alone, I would have gone thicker, 3mm, or maybe even upto 4mm. I’m not sure since I never tried any, but I think my e-ring and band are perfect together, which are 2mm each.

I think it looks great on its own! I am probably goign to get something similar for mine, maybe even a tad thinner 🙂 I don’t have it yet though. Here is one I tried on that I liked:

I like the look of a thin band on it’s own. It’s a subtle bling rather than in your face Kim Kardashian style. I am biased though, my wedding band (and e-ring) are both 2.2mm so in between your choices, but a pave setting rather than shared prong. I originally thought I’d want at least 4mm if not 5mm band since I do plan on wearing my wedding band on it’s own, but when I tried it on with my e-ring it just didn’t look right and I’d like the option to wear the set as well as the band on it’s own. And the thicker band was also too much bling for me.
