ugh that’s so awkward to have a wedding at a couples resort. Can you ask if they have rollaways?

@JosieB:  Well it is a COUPLES resort. Maybe they have cots or something one of you can sleep on?

I have friends who’ve done this .  I think they took turns sleeping in the bed and alternating w the cOuch.  Our rooms have always had a love seat so how they can sleep on thst is a mystery!

Wow, that is awkard.  I think I’d just stay in the room by myself and see if you can negotiate a single supplement price.  Worth a shot. Cruises are also double occupancy but if you are the only person in the room you pay basically 3/4 of the double occupancy price.

Its doable.  I haven’t had a bad experience yet but  haven’t shared a room with a stranger for a while (few years). Do you trust your friends friends?  If you feel you feel so uncomfortable why not pay the extra for room for yourself? If you cannot, ok. I have never had anyone who snored, was dirty, or crossed the invisible line 🙂 . Call and ask. Maybe they have cots.

@JosieB:  Call the resort and ask if they have any rooms with 2 beds, or if they can seperate the king into 2 singles.  They may have solutions not on the website.

@cbgg:  Having worked as a travel agent in an agency that specialized in Sandals resorts, I’m afraid the answer is no. Up until a few years ago they wouldnt’ even put people of the same gender in a room– until they got a whole lot of flack from the LGBT community!

@JosieB:  This is why I think it’s insane to have weddings at Sandals! It’s so inconsiderate of single guests. Like others have said- if you have a room with a couch or loveseat, switch off with the girl. Otherwise, maybe the travel agent can help you find a nearby resort and figure out day passes to Sandals.

Eh, king size beds are so gigantic, i’d rather share than sleep on an uncomfortable cot.
