I just remembered something that I DO actually think is gross… I knew a couple that SHARED THOSE TOOTH PICK FLOSSER THINGS!

….

Would use them repeatedly. Not throw them away. And share. Gag gag gag.

Once when we were out of town I forgot my toothbrush so I had to borrow his. I was so grossed out at first, but I got over it because I had no choice, lol.

we have in the past in out of town situations. on a regular basis, it wouldn’t happen just because i use an electric. it doesn’t gross me out at all, and i think that because when i was little, there were a few times my sister and i had to share because one of us left it at home on a vaca.

it seems gross but with toothpaste, hot water and mouthwash, i figure it’s the least of my worries.

what’s worse? keep your toothbrush on the counter thats next to your toilet? how many times does the toilet seat stay lifted while flushing? when that happens, particles of feces travel through the air and rest on your toothbrush!

Okay, I will go out there and say I don’t get why everyone thinks this is actually so gross. Maybe we are conditioned to think it is gross, but it is actually gross? I think if you would french kiss your husband then you must be okay with sharing mouth germs…how is using the same toothbrush any different? Yes, if you are sick you shouldn’t share, but in that case you shouldn’t be kissing either. My husband and I have a whole bunch of toothbrushes around and I’m sure we’ve used the same one before. I’m not losing sleep over it ๐Ÿ™‚

ewww… I come prepared and have back up toothbrushes ๐Ÿ˜€

We have our one on the counters.. and I have a packet of spares in the cabinet. And I keep a travel pack in both our cars in the glove box , just in case we go away somewhere last minute.. or car breaks down and stuck over night.. Or incase he forgets his toothbrush, I say go to the car and get the spares ๐Ÿ™‚

I think im way too organised for his liking. FH is a little lazy sometimes

Not cool.. next time u go to the store buy extras and keep a back up.  but thats how germs spread, so if your comfortable with passing the same cold back and forth.  keep sharing!

we actually use 2 different ones – mines a smaller head, soft bristles. his is whatever he picked up Smile. he’s used mine by accident and i’ve had to get a new one. i’ll share a cup of coffee but not a toothbrush. it’s weird how i draw that line. oh well.

Oh hell no!  I’m like Jerry Seinfeld-one time I walked in on him with MY toothbrush in his mouth, and I was ready to use a pair of tongs to throw it out.  (I did dump it in the garbage sans tongs.)  He uses a green-capped toothepaste and I red so we had to color code our toothbrushes so he wouldn’t use mine!  Ew.  I mean you can only be SO close-kissing sure, but using an implement to get food out of your teeth that someone else has used to get food out of his teeth?  Gross.  I did share a toothbrush once when I was a teenager with my best friend, but we were both vegetarians.  I think the thing that grosses me out the most is that he eats meat.

Thankfully, both of us are pretty thrifty- so whenever there’s a sale on toothbrushes, we stock up! haha I have a handful of brand new toothbrushes that come in handy in emergency situations & he has a bunch at his place too!

I think sharing a toothbrush is just icccckkkky! If sharing a toothbrush is okay, whats the difference between sharing floss or a toothpick!? Think about it… blech! There are more germs in your mouth than there are people in the world!

I had to comment b/c I LOVE LOVE LOVE HIMYM.

I think that sharing your toothbrush is gross. I brush three times a day and floss daily (flossing is like my 4th favorite thing to do). I also think it’s gross to share loofahs/washcloths and pillows. Maybe the pillow thing is just selfish ๐Ÿ˜‰
