Have you checked dollar tree for shepherd’s hooks?  The store I went to (in Chantilly) had tons of them – around 3.5″ tall.  I’m sure they have pillar candles as well.  Can’t help you other than that, we’re not doing the mason jar trend.  :-/

One of the spaghetti sauces uses mason jars… I can’t remember if it’s Classico, but if you start using that, you might have enough saved up by October!

thanks so much for the idea about the chantilly dollar store! I’ll check it out for the shepherd’s hooks- any chance you’d be interested in sharing? and/or sharing mason jars?

what are you using the hooks for? we have lanterns and I’m trying to figure out if I can hang them somewhere and how…

Check your local Goodwill stores. I stopped in one day to get some mismatched china and found an entire box FULL of mason jars for $10.00!  there had to be at least 30 in there.

@Nkukuruda: oh it’s okay!  not yet, I looked at Home Depot (too large/expensive) and Dollar Tree (but not in Chantilly) and have had no luck so far… have you found anything?
