Our invitations are by far the most labor-intensive part of any DIY I’ve done for the wedding. The invitation/RSVP cards themselves aren’t DIY, but I’m hand-making a bunch of little accoutrements to go with the invitations. These include: a diecut belly band made with my Cricut and Sure-Cuts-A-Lot, labels for my outer and return envelopes, a scalloped backer for the RSVP card, and little tags to tie to the front of the belly bands.
In case you were wondering, the invitations/RSVP cards will be litho on felt paper with foil stamping. I saw a proof a few days ago and I am JACKED. They should be in early next week and I will be sure to share pictures!
For now, though, here are some pictures of the DIY parts of the suite:
Belly band wrapped around a crappy print out of our invite + return envelope:
another gratuitous picture of our return envelope…just to show how cute my Ruby is. She’s like, Mom! Put down the envelope and let’s play with the tennis ball!
What do you guys think so far?

“Our invitations are by far the most labor-intensive part of any DIY I’ve done for the wedding” Totally know what you mean, mine were the same with all my little leaves and seals.
Looking good so far! I love the belly band!

@KLDMLO: I printed the labels on sheets at Kinko’s (a grand total of $12), then cut them with a paper cutter and scissors and glued them with spray adhesive to the envelopes.
@couawilou: I bet, I loved all those little leaves!

Eh, now I’m buggin’ because I can’t get the paper I want for the invitations. No more felt finish, just regular old cover. Oh well.
