My husband’s cousin did something similar at her wedding.  During the middle of the songs the dj made an announcement saying something like “All father’s and daughters are welcome to join the couple on the dance floor”..and “all mothers and sons are welcome to join the couple on the dance floor.”

But they were separate dances.  And I thought it was really sweet.

Yeah, maybe halfway through, but I would talk to your dad first. That is a really important moment for them and he may not want to share it. That is an emotional dance and I bet that you will not notice anything but your dads pride beaming.

I have just always assumed we were going to do this so I appreciate finding a poll question about it. Great though that people are so positive about the idea!

I do like this idea, and am thinking about doing it as well.  My concern is, what about father’s with more than one daughter, or mother’s with more than one son?  I know this would be an issue for my guests and am not sure how you would deal with that.
