I have dark hair and even though it’s very sparse above the knee, I still shave it. I’ve started doing water aerobics so it’s making me shave more often than I usually do in the summer!

I have never shaved above my knee.  The hair is super fine and blonde in color and super short as well.  I never wear anything above my knee either so I don’t think it is a big deal.  My Fiance knows this, he does not mind it and even if he did I don’t think I would change.  I don’t want the hair to grow back darker or thicker.

I shave everything, everyday. Underarms, my whole leg and my vajayjay. I can’t stand hair anywhere, but that’s just me ๐Ÿ™‚

I have the curse of super dark hair like some of the other bees too ๐Ÿ™  In winter & when I know I won’t be showing my legs off I ususally do to the knee/just above pretty much every day, then the top half once a week or so.  In summer I always do the full leg.  Then visit an amazing polish chick for a wax for, erm…’the rest’.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it…?

YES!!!! It’s funny so many mom’s told their daughter’s this. When I started my mom told me that many people say not to shave above the knee but to screw that and definitely shave above the knee ๐Ÿ˜‰

But she was very progressive with her teen daughter about beauty regimens. She started taking me eyebrow waxing at a young age to teach me proper brow shape and not to ever go crazy with the tweezers. And taught me to manicure my pubic region as soon as I started growing pubic. We started having monthly waxing appointments together when I was 16.

Truthfully I don’t shave above my knee unless it is summer time. I don’t think you are being gross at all. Do you!

I was never told that, although I heard other people say it around school and stuff when we all first started shaving ๐Ÿ˜‰ I do, but not as frequently as the rest of my legs because it’s not needed. It grows much slower.

I stopped shaving above the knee when I was 23. So over 10 years ago. My hair is long and blonde and mostly non-existant on the back of my thighs. It’s a very European thing to do I was told.

I absolutely always shave all the way up. I have thick, dark brown almost black hair and if I don’t shave anything it is disgusting… so I shave everything.

It really depends on how I’m feeling. If I feel like some sexy time is going to happen, or it is summer I will shave above the knee. Or if I just feel like I want to. But for the most part I just shave my lower leg, and then my knees and like two inches of my thigh.

I don’t normally because skirts/capris usually cover that up. But I do for bikini season or beach vacations when I’m dressed skimpier.

@beachbride1216:  I agree.  In southern california any visible leg hair is absolutely unthinkable.  Sometimes I’ll miss a hair and only see it when it catches the sun and I feel sooo self conscious about it.
