But…but…I don’t wanna wait!!!  *puppy eyes*

I hope you also saw the suggestions to make a Public Service Announcement and a YouTube video in posts 202 and 204!  Great ideas, eloping and SoupyCat!

Awesome Kimberlee! I’m living in Mississauga =D *shout out to all the Ontario folks* Glad you’re feeling better about it. Seriously, the only thing people will remember is how beautiful you looked and what a twat that lady was for bringing her kid.

@kimberleedawn:  As a mom of three, I can’t understand how she ignored your request for a child-free wedding in the first place.  I’m so sorry your vows were drowned-out.  She was thoughtless.

OH dear god. Well that settles it. Fiance and I had already been leaning towards a childfree wedding to protect the size of our guestlist as most people with children are my out of state relatives whom I haven’t seen since I was a kid. My eldest cousin took this route and him and his wife raved about how great it was not having to fear horror stories they’d been told about kids at weddings.

I just figured I’d prefer to invite more of our close friends than a toddler I’d never met. I’m sorry if that sounds harsh-but it’s a small event and it will be an evening wedding with an open bar.

If anyone tries to fight me on it I will not only stand my ground, but any wavering will cause me to war flashback to this thread. I am so sorry that happened to you. What an inconsiderate person to ignore your wishes.

@Juliepants:  Oh I would so totally do that just to shove it right back to her. sounds like a great plan, huh?

That’s insane – I can’t believe that, especially her acknowledging it in the guestbook.

I love kids as well, but that is why I am thankful I am not inviting kids to the wedding, regardless of age.

I really hope tha tyou still go through with the video/dinner idea.

BUT something I think some other Bees have missed is that you aren’t invited to the 1st birthday party! How immature can this woman be?! She can’t face her guilt so she just doesn’t invited you? I’d love for you to turn up at the 1st birthday with a copy of the wedding video for everyone to see. 😛 (But I know that I couldn’t do this, it’s a bit too mean. The dinner though – brilliant! idea. Inspired even.)

Keep us posted. 🙂

@kimberleedawn:  Hello from Toronto!  Did you know that we have a bees meetup? I haven’t been able to make it to the past two, but you should consider going!

@kimberleedawn:  Clearly she just likes to be the center of attenton. Maybe you can go to her next wedding (that kind of woman never stays married for long!!) and do something similar?!?!?

@kimberleedawn:  You are clearly a better person than me!  I would have done it.  How very gracious of you.  I’m glad other people spoke to her though.  Did the lady with the baby apologize HERSELF, or was it JUST her mother?

I’m so happy your Toronto reception went well!  That’s awesome!
