“How does it feel to know that you are a heartless b*tch who will die alone and bitter because you never felt the need to get to know anyone beyond tthe superficial?”
Your daughter is cute and adorable and in 20 years, any man would be lucky to have her!

HOLD ON A SECOND! Do you think she was saying it as “A mother’s love can never be outshone?” ANY mother’s? Do you think you could have automatically assumed it was because of your daughter’s leg that she meant something offensive? How did she react to your reply?
Nevermind, I see you didn’t wait for a reply.

Based on that picture, if she was wearing a shoe I don’t think I would have even noticed her leg right away! I was too busy looking at her beautiful face!
WTF. What does she even mean!? She sounds mental.
Although, do you think it was in direct reference to her leg or was it a general reference, like ‘no boyfriend of our kids will ever love them like we parents do’? She may have meant something different, but it came out really wrong?
Whatever the meaning, that was totally uncalled for.

Wow! that’s what I just said!
I’m wondering that too…And if that WAS her true meaning, it wasn’t uncalled for, it was sweet. (In reference to “Any” mother’s love towards their little girl)

Her comment came immediately after she noticed her “leggie”, so I am quite sure it was not an “all mothers love their child will all their heart” kind of comment. I don’t know how she reacted, I left.

I cant even tell from the picture that her leg is prosthetic and I cant really understand that ladies comment at all

Ok. I don’t condone violence BUT I would have seriously punched that bitch in the throat and spilled my hot coffee on her dumb ass!
ETA – your daughter looks like a sweet angel.

Who the hell can say such a thing like that! That just made me angry!
Your daughter looks like a sweetie, and you are truly blessed! Lots of love!

I bet she didn’t even realize what she was saying was offensive. A lot of people don’t know what is appropriate and what is inappropriate when it comes to people with disabilities. I’m sure she thought she was being empathetic rather than insulting…At least, I hope so.
Your daughter is beautiful, and I think your response was perfect.
As an aside, I went to school with a girl who was born with only one arm… She and I recently reconnected on FB, and she is happily married, has two grown children, and I think she’s expecting her first grandchild.
No one is perfect, but we’re all made perfect in God’s eyes, and there is someone out there who is perfect for everyone.

I applaud your restraint and that you could answer her civily without going off the deep end!
Your daughter is totally adorable!!

I’m pretty sure I would have smacked the woman and got up and left. How rude!

Ugh. Well, I could take this two ways. The bad way is that this lady is a complete douche who assumes that no man will ever love your baby because of her leg (WTF??)
The idea that no man/person will ever love her the way her mommy does. Which is sort of sweet if you think about it. I’m sure Mr. Funnel Cake doesn’t love me the same way as my Mom. 🙂 But I wouldn’t want him to!
Your daughter is beautiful and I’m sure somebody is going to be head over heels in love with her some day!

You should have asked her how that made her feel about her own daughter.

I can’t believe people sometimes.
Your reaction was perfect and you handled yourself better than I would have in that situation.
P.S. Your daughter is beautiful!

You should have said “Well Paul McCartney married a woman with a prosthetic leg, so clearly not all people are as shallow as you”. Now, Heather MIlls did turn out to be a crazy bitch…. but thats not the point here! Your daughter is prefect.
