SaugaBride:  WOW!  I am so glad you caught that!  From the pictures, I couldn’t tell a difference at all, and I bet she was hoping you couldn’t tell a difference either!  Nice work!  I would be livid.  I would definitely write a review for her.

SaugaBride:  I’m glad it got resolved! But I don’t believe for a second it was a mix up. If she thought she had sent you your moissy back she wouldn’t have been so worried about you getting it tested.

Also how do mix up a stone that was sent to you if you never opened the package? What a bitch…definitely leave a negative review!!

I don’t believe it for a second eiher since she only suddenly found the original still in packaging when you said you were getting it tested!  Kudos to you for knowing it was off and not letting it go, definitely report her/review her!

That is crazy! Good for you for sticking to your guns and not letting her get away with that. There is no way that was just a “mix up.” I definitely think you should write a review that explains the situation. Like another poster said, don’t say she did it on purpose, but explain the “mix up.” Let other customers know that if they work with her, they need to keep an eye on their stones.

I am an Etsy seller. I am dumbfounded by this info and I know Etsy holds us to the upmost standards when it comes to our businesses. I think you should contact Etsy support and tell them what happened—It sounds to me like this lady takes real precious stones and switches them out for lesser value ones. Unfortunately it is a common practice used in pawn shops and small jewelery stores. WhatI do for piece of mind is I will take it to a big name jewelry store they usually will have in house repairs and such and can set it right there. They usually have the lab made of glass to make sure the tech isn’t pocketing stones. Ask to go back there and watch them set your stone. I do it and i tell them it’s for my own piece of mind.—As far as the Etsy seller please let us know what shop because i buy jewelry and so do my friends and i don’t want to get ripped off.

SaugaBride:  Wow. That was not a mixup. I can’t believe that has happened actually! Have you got your moissy back in the mail yet? Is it a lesser quality moissy (can that even happen?) or something else in your ring (ie. CZ)? Did you end up going to the jeweller anyway?

Wow… if she did indeed do this on purpose then I am really surprised she could be so stupid.

Woah. I can’t believe she did that! Did the seller send you the moissy certificate of authenticity? My Fiance had my moissy sent directly to the jeweler and when the jeweler sent the ring he included the cert.
