tashie16: Here is my sheath chiffon dress on the model showing the front. Absolutely loved the soft flowiness of the material and im also having a Southern, outdoor wedding ceremony in August and didn’t want to melt underneath tons of touille and fabric. I posted a pic of it on me in the back as well. Just LOVE the Watteau train!! have to get the fdress hemmed though and altered up top. Once it’s ajusted only planned on wearing thong for undergarments and no bra needed.

tashie16: Love this thread! It is so nice to see all the sheath dresses. Sometimes I second guess my dress because its not as poofy and flowy, and I am afraid I will miss out on the princess/bride feeling.

Here is my dress on the model. I still trying to figure out undergarments. I have the NuBra and also got a backless body shaper to see if that would work also. Here is my dress and the undergarments.

molokoa: So classic and timeless, and above all chic! I love it! Question though: You referenced “high waisted footless spanx.” Does that mean that they make spanks that go all the way down the leg like pantyhose? I was strongly considering some sort of spanks or body shaper for mine because it is chiffon and even though a thong solves the problem of a panty line, I figured spanx would help hold everything together a little more tightly and smoothly and keep jiggling to a minimum. Only thing is, I don’t want the line on the thigh where the spanx stop to press through the dress and make it look like I have on biker shorts underneath. Is that why they have some to go farther down the leg? Educate me and it will be much appreciated!

ComputerLove06: Yes, that is exactly what they were. They went from right under my bra to about mid-calf. I own a different pair of spanx that end at mid-thigh and they roll up and make a bulge across my lap. I really bought them more for the smoothing aspect than the compression- my dress was lined, but it’s silk which is not at all forgiving to any figure aspects you don’t want to high-light. I got them at Home Goods (which is like a TJ Maxx or Marshalls). Worked out perfectly, and weren’t uncomfortable at all.

Jacee by Maggie Sottero. I tried everything. I tried a dress that made me feel like a princess, I tried a dress that cinched me in the most, I tried dresses with open backs, I tried dresses with detachable sleeves, I tried multiple A lines….and then on my last appointment I tried the first chiffon sheath dress. And that’s the one I felt the best in. It’s not the most show-stopping, it’s not the biggest or blingiest, but it’s the most me. And I love it! Now I am stuck on accessorizing. I do want to have some drama for my first appearance as a bride…..
