Oooh your date is soon!!!

I get Shellac faithfully every 2 weeks. I get them re-done before they chip because I don’t like looking at the new growth lol. I have recently found an amazing guy at my nail salon and I’ll stick with him from now on. I haven’t had a single nail chip or peel in the 2 weeks that I go in between appointments, and I’m certain that I could get another week out of them if I waited.

I do my own shellac at home after getting it done at the salon for about 6 months. Mine easily lasts 2 weeks.

My french shellac manicure lasted 3 weeks after the wedding.

They’ll last for 2-3 weeks but it bugs me when it starts growing out so I’m really only happy with it for about a week.

Mine lasts 2-3 weeks, but I try to be real careful with it

@sweetchiquita12:  They take it off each time πŸ™‚ It’s a bit of an irritating process, if you ask me. It has to soak off and at my salon they put acetone on a cotton ball, press it onto the nail, and wrap it with aluminum foil. I get bored very quickly and like to play with my phone while I’m getting my pedicure and the foil sort of limits my ability to do that lol

I am super rough on my nails I guess.. bc a french manicure usually only a week before the white tips chip on at least one of my nails.  If I get a plain color it will last up to 2 weeks.

Agreed, I’m on day 12 of a gel manicure right now and I would not want my nails to look like this for my wedding! It has grown out up at the top by my cuticals so there’s a gap on top. My nails are pretty long too since they don’t break when they have gel polish on them. I would not get my wedding manicure more than 5-6 days before my wedding date. I’m going on my honeymoon right after so I’ll get them done the day or two before my wedding so they’ll stay on the whole time.

I can only get mine to last 7-9 days generally. The color doesn’t chip and a slight grow out doesn’t bother me – for me the side start to come up! It’s really annoying. I’ve tried a few different salons and it still happens so it must just bme me πŸ™‚

I think it depends on how fast your nails grow. I’ve got a gel on right now that I’ve had for exactly a week, and there’s a distinct gappy line between the polish and my cuticle now. I usually go two weeks between in my regular life, because those babies are spendy, but I would NOT go more than 3-4 days before my wedding.

I’m also going to be out of town for like a week and a half before our wedding, and I’m a little worried about having to find a good nail place there, ugh.

Usually 2 weeks, but typically my nails grow too quickly, so I usually have quite a bit of growth but no chipping if I did it right.
