My beautiful dress is here!! I had just been complaining about having to wait another month, when I got the call from the shop! After 5 months of waiting, it came a whole month early! Now, I have to wait just under a year to actually wear it! *sigh*
I told Fiance that it’s here, but I didn’t tell him that I would be bringing it home. He thinks that the shop is keeping it for me. LoL. I went and picked it up while he was in class yesterday after I got off work. I am even more in love with it than I was when I first ordered it in May! :o)
It fits perfectly right now, though I am planning on losing about 10-15 pounds. I don’t think that will drastically change the way it fits because my upper body rarely gains or loses that much– I gain/lose mostly in the hips/thighs/butt region. I will definitely need it hemmed because it’s a little long in the front. And I’ll probably be wearing a crinny to make it a little more full… it’s a LOT more dress than I remember it being.. lol.
I am debating on the neckline though.. I absolutely love sweetheart necklines and thought that I’d for sure get the neckline of my gown changed.. but… it’s actually kinda growing on me now. Idk.. what do y’all think? :o)

I love sweetheart necklines too, but this looks beautiful just as it is! I wouldn’t change a thing! 🙂

Wow that dress looks amazing on you!! If you had always dreamed of a sweetheart, you might as well go for it. I feel like everyone loves the sweetheart necklines and they are really flattering (but I don’t think it’s a necessary alteration here). The dress definitely looks gorgeous as is!!

I think this dress would look fantastic with or without at sweetheart neckline. I debated on mine as well, but I love my dress so much I don’t want to risk changing anything. Mine is a slight sweetheart.

@fresitachulita: I think that’s my problem! I love my dress sooooo much, I can’t bear the thought of it being sliced and diced! LoL. And if it doesn’t turn out the way I picture it, I’ll be devastated. I really do love it the way it is, which is surprising because I usually dislike straight across necklines.
Thank you!! Yeah sweetheart necklines seem to be flattering on mostly everyone! It seems that a lot of things I thought I wanted, I ended up not getting. I was dead-set on having a corset, but this dress has buttons that I never really cared a lot for.. now I’m in love with the buttons! LoL. :o)
: Thank you!!! :o)

Wow what a gorgeous dress! I love the waist and cut!
I think it looks fine, but if you like more chest details, a sweetheart would be fine!

I love sweetheart necklines myself, so that’s what I voted for. But it’s very pretty!

I think it looks amazing just the way it is.. I wouldn’t mess with a good thing 🙂

I wouldnt sweetheart this dress, I feel like the straight neckline is really cohesive with the dramatic bottom. Pretty choice 🙂

Wow.. looks like the poll is pretty close. I’m probably 75% sure that I’m going to leave the neckline the way it is. We’ll see if that other 25% gets the best of me over the next 11 months, LoL.
Thanks for the lovely comments ladies!! :o)

Stunning!! This makes me want to start trying on dresses again, and nothing has been able to motivate me to do that.
