Good Morning Hive,
The name is Mr. Coffee and writing is my game. I’m a 32 year old Chicago resident who recently has become engaged to the wonderful (soon to be) Mrs. Coffee. Growing up, I’ve never put much thought in what my wedding day would be like. During my teenage years, I figured weddings were for old people who ran out of fun things to do.
MY EYES ARE NOW OPEN!
Who is Mr. Coffee?
I spent a huge portion of my twenties hanging out with my buddies; searching for love in the night scene. Honestly, those 10 years went by like a blink of an eye. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed my youth to its fullest… great friends, good laughs and awesome memories! However, one morning I woke up and realized something was still missing in my life.
I had decided at the age of 28, finding love was simply not in my forecast. After many failed relationships and countless lonely nights my heart began to close its door with the idea of finding true love. It seemed much easier for me to prepare for my thirties with the understanding that not everybody finds true love. However, just has I began to mentally accept said realization… she walked into my life.
Miss Coffee came to me like a punch in the face! This is the best way for me to describe her entrance into my life. Within seconds of our meeting, my heart and soul became drunk with love. Honestly, I felt dizzy in the head… as if I was punched in the face! It was in that very moment, I knew Miss Coffee was my true love, soul mate, the one I continue to breathe for.
We’ve spent the past couple years soaking up our love; enjoying every minute of our endless journey. On September 5th, 2010 in the garden patio of a local French restaurant… I asked Miss. Coffee to marry me! Her Proposal day is a separate story for later post. One in which I hope everybody in the hive enjoys reading.
My name is Mr. Coffee, a 32 year old Chicago resident and I’m engaged to the most incredible woman in the world. I want to continue enjoying minute of our endless journey. For that reason alone, I wanted to find a place/source/avenue to help me discover all the countless aspects of a wedding. Through the course of these 12 months, when Miss Coffee speaks to me about wedding subjects I not only want to know what she’s talking about… I would like to provide feedback.
I’ve enjoyed reading present and past posts by fellow hive members. I look forward to sharing my wedding planning experiences with you… from a male point of view. Saying that, I hope you will allow another man into the hive. I promise to be a gentleman at all times and will also guarantee many laughs in the coming posts!
