Hey bees, I’m hoping some of the strassing experienced or DIY ladies can help me. I have a pair of cute black pumps that are the perfect shape and height, but they are super shiny and I can’t stand it! Darling Husband is in the Air Force, and he doesn’t like them either because they remind him of his dress shoes. Is there anything I can do to give them a more matte finish? I googled it and tried rubbing on acetone, milk, and alcohol and none of those has worked. The only option I have not tried is rubbing them with very fine steel wool, because I feel like I could really screw that up. Is there some sort of spray I could buy from the craft store that would help? I feel like I have read something about that on here, but that could just be my imagination coming up with solutions. Any ideas/advice is appreciated!
