    Yes, more than once.

    Yes, but only once.

No, he likes everything I like.

No, I don't even bother asking him.

The dress actually. I was bouncing around between vintage styles (thats just me, vintage ANYTHING, any vintage! Flapper and 50’s mostly). Of tea length this, victorian that, even a semi punk style (a corset and big poofy all tulle skirt, yes i even picked out a FORMAL style Mohawk to do my hair in.) and couldn’t settle on anything. Everything I showed him he was like “Pretty, you’ll look great baby. You always do”.

And then I found the dress, he saw it and flipped shit. In a good way.

“I never want to see another dress again! This is perfect. You don’t get a choice, this one, THIS ONE NOW, TAKE MY MONEY AND BUY IT NOW!”

    uh..Yes Dear?

And his suit, again it was “sure honey, whatever you like will be fine.” Until I showed him my idea for his suit and again with the “TAKE MY MONEY AND BUY IT NOW!”

As for venue, All he wanted to see was what the bedrooms looked like. (Wedding package at B&B)

This is an old thread but AWESOME!

DH was almost offended he wouldn’t be wearing a jacket.  LOL  It will be in July, at 6pm, the hottest time of the day and he wants a black jacket to match his black pants.  LOL

DH is DIY our aspen wood candle holders, centerpiece stands, cake stand and cookie pedestals, and each one has to be uniquely perfect, otherwise they just won’t do.

He picked out a lot of our flowers and insisted on growing them himself.

He demanded a large white board put on the wall with a game plan all mapped out.  The DIY’s, caterer, center piece design, room layout, etc.  Cute!  He is very visual.

He was excited about picking out the charger plates for the cookie table.

They say they don’t care but they really do and it is so sweet!

Haha this is a fun thread to read! My Fiance started to get involved in the beginning but with the advice of his male friends and family members, he quickly realized that the groom doesn’t get involved, and to just let the bride do the planning! I did, however, say that he could pick the music and the suits, which he has done so well, although I’m making him have a top hat too, haha! Otherwise, I just ask him what he thinks on some things and he always likes them, so that’s good! One thing he didn’t like was wearing a veil, and I agreed so it was totally fine!

“We can’t run out of beer”…that’s the only thing he’s said so far. He gave his opinion on food, but said, “Sure!” when I told him what I thought would be good. Groomzilla he is NOT!

I had one venue all picked out. It was perfect, exactly what I had dreamed about. I took my parents, they loved it. I took my FI’s parents, they loved it. Then my Fiance looked at it… And hated it. I was devastated

We went back and forth on this for a while.Head love a venue, I’d hate it. I’d love a venue, he’d hate it. We finally found something we both loved and could agree upon. Men can be funny like that. He was so good with everything else.

Fiance and I were talking about a feiends wedding and I mention the strappes on the wedding dress and he said he doesn’t like straps on wedding dresses and had to quickly backtrack at the look on my face (my dress of course had to have not even straps but worse sleeves) he also insisted on a sit down plates meal not cocktail or even buffet and he said no to a candy bar which shocked me a little

This thread is great! I haven’t had a chance to read through it all but I’ll be back!

I told my fiance to dl pinterest so he can see what stuff he likes & hates & he actually uses it! I came home and he was like “ohhh I gotta show you what I pinned!” *shocked!* lol

We are also having paper cranes at our wedding & I came home one day and he folded 30 cranes! *shocked again!*

My DH didn’t have too many opinions, but the ones he did have made me work a bit!

My DH voiced that he didn’t like an all lace dress for me. I would have probably gone with one except for that! I made sure that it was okay if I had some lace on the dress, and he said that was fine, luckily. Or I might have protested a bit! I need my lace 🙂 so the top part of the dress was gorgeous lace and the bottom was tulle.

Also, he refused to have his tie or the GM’s ties be pink to match the BMs, who were in coral and cream. So, his tie was black and the GM’s were silver striped.

My Fiance is a nightmare. So many opinions about stuff he doesn’t like or want; certain flowers, blue or grey suits, music, bridesmaid dresses….

    Absolutley zero alternate suggestions though…sigh!!

My fiancé has let me run with most of the wedding planning, while providing input, advice, suggestions, etc whenever I’d ask  (thank goodness for a man who actually takes an interest instead of just saying “whatever you want is fine”.

The one thing I was surprised he cared so much about was his wedding ring. He never ever wears jewelry and he’s a good, old fashioned country boy who would rather be in the shop welding than playing golf or shopping, so I figured he’d want a plain titanium or tungsten ring to go along with his rough and tumble hobbies. NOPE. We started looking at rings and he became obsessed with these titanium rings that had bands of dinosaur bone and titanium. He spent hours searching through all the different ones and still couldn’t find the perfect combination of colors and materials, so we had to order it custom. It’s beautiful and he loves it, but it definitely can’t stand up to the daily abuse it would see, so it’ll only be worn when we’re going out somewhere. I’m going to have to get him one of those QALO silicone rings for day to day, hahahaha.

My Fiance wouldn’t agree to wear anything but a navy suit & a brown plaid tie! Whatever, its his wedding!

He was also adamant he was not having a birdal party table in front of everyone because he feels bad for the people on the end of the table (he has been this person numerious times).  As we have so many members in our bridal party we have decided to do a bridal table in the middle of all our guests on round tables and have us all each side, rather than on one side of our long table.  This was a 3 hour discussion to come to this aggreement!
