I posted this a while ago on my bio, but haven’t gotten any suggestions on mauve shoes, so I’m trying the boards, just realized this is the place to post stuff like this! Sorry for the long post!
Originally, I wanted to find mauve (a soft purplish pinkish color) shoes since our colors are mauve, black, and silver/grey, but they were too hard to find. The first pair I bought were cute, comfortable, and reasonably priced: Bras Plum Larissa sandal in gold satin, $59.95. I also have a gold shawl and bought a cute gold speckled purse on Etsy to coordinate…
But I just wasn’t that crazy about them. I kept looking and found these REALLY cute Betsy Johnson Calandra in pink satin and black; I drool every time I see them, $149.95, very expensive for me, but they are sooo cute, and they kinda go with our colors. They were hard to find in my size, but I was able to order them at Nordstrom with free shipping…
To my dismay, they were very uncomfortable; I probably wouldn’t have lasted past the ceremony in them. Too bad cause they were so cute! I continued my search for mauve shoes, even trying to think outside of my “mauve” box; after all, it’s my wedding, I can wear whatever color shoes I want, right?
I own these that have a little bit of mauve and are very comfortable, but I really wanted open toe shoes.
I also own these that are super cute and they go with our colors but they aren’t very comfortable.
As I was thinking outside of my box, I came across these. CUTE, COMFORTABLE, and AFFORDABLE! I think I may have found the perfect wedding shoes, well almost perfect, maybe as perfect as they’re gonna get. The background is ivory so it matches my dress. Black is one of our colors and the flower is magenta, a darker mauve. I’ve ended up adding magenta to our color scheme. I returned the first two pairs that I bought because I liked these better than the first pair and were more comfortable than the second pair. They’re Nine West Hambert, got em at Nordstrom Rack for $46.90 plus tax! I have cute black bows that I want to add to the back to dress them up a little.
I’m 90% happy with these as my wedding shoes, but if I could find the right mauve shoes, that would be ideal. Any leads would be greatly appreciated! This is the mauve I have in mind. Thanks in advance!
