I love love my weddings shoes, which are gold satin Stuart Weitzmans covered with swarovski crystals. But they are also 3.5-4 inches, and I’m afraid I won’t make it the whole day and night in them. So I am considering a lower heeled shoe in case my feet start to give out but I’m afraid that if my dress hem is tailored for the higher heel, won’t I trip over my dress in flats? I thought about the 3" flip flop wedges, but I wonder if they’re easy to trip in bc of the design. Maybe I’m just a kltuz, haha.

I have absolutely no idea if this would work, but is it possible to bustle the dress to raise the hem?

I know when I originally tried my dress on I had a crinoline under it and it poofed the dress out to make it shorter and it was the purfect length. I didnt want a poofy dress so I opted to go with out the crinoline and now the hem is going up about 1 1/2" anyways my possible solution would be put on a bigger crinoline(if it a dress you could were one with) and it wont drag so much and instead of going to a flat go to a kitten heal. (heals are great for posture)

Thanks girls. What have other Bees done? Seems like this is a common situation when the bride changes to a lower heel…how have other girls handled this dilemma?

excellent question NYCprincess, I’m planning on switching from heels to flip flops and hadn’t even thought of the dress hem issue!?
