I would start with the big shoe sites… zappos.com, endless.com, piperlime.com.  You can specify the type of shoe (pump v. sandal? etc.), color, heel height, etc., which makes narrowing down many choices way easier.  Plus free shipping!

You can also check out various department store websites, like nordstrom.com or macys.com.  If you’re looking for designer shoes, bluefly.com and yoox.com often have many for a lesser price.

Good luck!

Definitely try Zappos.com.  I am a size 4 (very difficult to find), and I ordered three pair from Zappos, tried them all on, and returned the ones that were not what I was looking for.  The shipping was free both ways!  And, the return process was really easy.  Of all the places from which I have purchased shoes online, Zappos was by far the most user friendly.
