Ok ladies, I have a question…. I found some pink shoes I really really like, and that they actually have in my size. (Thanks to ya’lls help!) However…. I need something with a 3″-3 1/2″ heel height… The shoes i found a 4 1/4″. Could a shoe repair place cut the heels down to make these work? I really need to get on the ball, because I am taking my bridal portraits next Friday! TIA!!!

Unlikely. The shape of the shoe itself, the pitch, is for a 4+” heel. While it could possibly be shorted up to half an inch, you’re not going to be able to change more than that. The heel would kickback under the sole.
If a cobbler could do a quality job shaving an inch off the heel and bending the pitch of the shoe, the cost and frustration of doing so would probably be more than just finding shoes that work in the first place.

The extra inch is not going to be that noticeable if you really love the shoes. Getting the shoes adjusted heightwise is going to cost a small fortune and be very labor intensive as they have to take the shoe apart, not just cut heel off. Be aware that if you plan to take the shoes off at the reception and go barefoot or change into a shorter heel or flats for the reception, your dress will be dragging so that you and your guests trip on it.
Either stick with the 4″ shoes you love and keep the heel height intact or find different shoes altogether.
