    @Chrysoberyl:  I am a huge lace fan myself, but unfortunately, I do think those two looks together are a bit much :/ maybe it’s just those particular shoes, but I think it’s better if they contrast a bit. I wore a tulle dress with lace and beaded overlay and glittery flats.

    In the vast majority of photos and situations, your shoes will not be visible at all. There will be a few pictures that show them, and they might be visible if you do a garter toss, but aside from that, no one will see them. So I think you should get whatever shoes you absolutely love. I wore some crazy, very, VERY high heeled boots. But no one saw them unless I wanted them to see them, so it didn’t really matter. With a floor length dress, you wear the shoes for you, not for what other people think.
