Our wedding is May 2013 and I am obsessed with having hot pink shoes for my black/white damask and hot pink wedding theme. I am impatiently waiting to continue dress shopping because I want to lose some more weight and I want to be able to choose from the most current season dress selections. While I have been looking at dresses, I have been obsessing over wedding shoes!!! I want to buy my shoes but something is telling me to wait for my dress. This is one pair that I absolutely love.
Any bees out there that brought their shoes before the dress?

I decided on my shoes before the dress-so I don’t see the problem (mine are hot pink too)… unless you are like me and have a shoe love which will lead you to finding another “perfect” pair. I have read about brides distressed that they didn’t get the shoes they loved because they waited only to not find them available.

I bought my shoes before my dress too. I don’t see anything wrong with it. 🙂

Do it!! I waited on a pair I loved and now I’m SOL because they aren’t in stock in my ever so popular foot size anywhere. Those are way cute and if they don’t go with the dress you end up picking out then you have a cute pair of pink heels for date night 🙂 My only hesitation for you is where you said “one pair” that you love lol. Try to get them from zappos – if you order on 2/29 you get a 4 year return policy! I think their normal return policy is a full year, too.

Plenty of people find shoes before their dress! Don’t over think it!

I bought my shoes before I was engaged, so definitely before the dress. If you find good shoes, buy them! No need to wait.

Thanks ladies. This is the only picture I uploaded but there are definitely a few loves out there. @mannarose630, the shoes are actually from zappos. I will definitely take advantage of the four year return policy. Thanks!!

I bought mine before the wedding and I don’t regret it! I was able to take them to wear them while trying on dresses! I think it’s a plus, actually!

I have a major shoe obsession, and I fell in love with a pair of crystal Gina shoes ages ago, and said for years that they would be my wedding shoes. So, after we got engaged and booked the venue, the shoes were my next purchase.
I think with a coloured shoe (mine are silver), it’s not really an issue to get the shoes first; hot pink will go with most shades of white/ivory and so shouldn’t be an issue. The only time I think it’s a bad idea to get the shoes first is if they’re white/ivory; as I am super-fussy and they would have to match the colour of my dress PERFECTLY (this is one reason I didn’t go for white/ivory shoes lol; that and I wouldn’t wear them again so would be loathe to spend $500 on them!)
