I am also getting married outdoors in July this year and I’m doing the same thing for my wedding. I had all my girls choose dresses from a different designer but I decided that they should go with ivory shoes because it will match me and they all have a bit of ivory in their dresses as sashes. What other colors are you going with besides purple?

If you are thinking of matching the dresses to the shoes at all I would go with the Dyeables brand because you can match the color exactly from the material swatch on the dress or you can have them dyed to any color you want so it leaves options alot more open for you. I was going to have my girls dye their shoes to match their dresses but we decided that it would be best if everyone match to the sashes instead. See the link below for more info on the shoes. ๐Ÿ™‚

DSW has a wide variety of strappy sandals that you and your BM’s might like.

I have purple dresses as well and my girls are wearing light gold/champagne colored shoes.  I told them they can pick whatever style they want but they just need to be in the right color!

DSW has a lot of great shoes, so does ShiekShoes.com

Oh my gosh! I think we’re doing the same dresses in the same color =) Is yours magestic?

I asked my girls to wear silver. The groomsmen are wearing slate gray tuxes, so I thought it would make the look more cohesive.

My girls might be wearing dessy too in African Violet and I think I want them to wear gold shoes with their purple dresses

Gold! Oh it would look fab!

I’m doing pewter shoes. I told my girls they can have whatever style they want. They just have to be pewter ๐Ÿ™‚

Do yall think grey shoes would look good with the majestic dessy dresses? That is what I think I want. Silver for me seems too much and gold isn’t in my colors. What about nude shoes? I can’t decide!

@bhs133: My girls are wearing Euro Eggplant dresses from Bill Levkoff and I asked them to wear nude shoes…so I say go for it!  I just gave them free reign as far as what they interpret as being nude and I’m sure it will look great.  There are lots of nude shoe options out there, I think it’s still a trendy thing.

@Jaynee: I love the nude shoes look. I agree with you and think they are still trendy and can be easy for the girls to pick out whatever they want. That way they can buy something they will wear again and it can be their own style. Thanks!

Those are gorgeous dresses!

Personally, I don’t like matchy matchy shoes or black with colored dresses.

OUr bridesmaid’s dresses are purple, too, and we decided nude pumps would be the best choice because every gal has a nude pump in her shoe collection.  And if not, they’re super-easy and cheap to find!  They can also wear it for other occassions after the wedding, too.

We’re going with patent nude pumps since the fabric of their dress is jersey.

I think patent nude pump will work great with your dresses, too!
