I have just purchased a new wedding gown after deciding the first dress was not “the dress!” My new dress is short and I am torn about my choice of shoes. I could play it safe and choose a very bridal ivory pair or shake things up and choose a fun pair. Any thoughts?

If you go with a short dress, you really have to have an amazing pair of shoes. Even if you don’t go with a pair to “shake things up” they still need to be really awesome. I feel like most “safe” bridal shoes will look pretty boring compared to a pair of fun, colorful shoes.
That’s just IMO, but I think that you will be able to show so much more personality that way.

if your dress is long, and your shoes wont even show off, SAFE SHOES OR FLATS will be the right choice.

I would go with a fun pair but not a bright color.. maybe something still in white, ivory and silver with jewels or rhinestones. But that is just my taste 😉

My shoes are bright red and have big bows on the toe. Fun. feisty and a bit pinup, just like me. 🙂
Go for it!

Lol i was thinking “safe” as in a flat, comfortable option. You know, so you don’t eat it 🙂 But if your dress is short, i’d lean towards fun, at least for photos, and then bust into something comfy later

definitely something fun with a short dress! you can always slip into something more comfortable later for dancing at the reception.

I am considering a jeweled gladiator sandal. Any thoughts?

Never been a fan of white or ivory shoes, and especially if they are going to show, I think you need to pick something fun!

These were my fun wedding shoes, so I vote for fun, but i’m possibly biased!

Fun! With a short dress, you need to have amazing shoes. What a great way to bring out more of yourself. 🙂 Regular bridal shoes would seem too… “blah” (for lack of a better word).
