I wore flats for the majority of our wedding day – gumboots in the rain, then swapped to flats after our first dance, ready for dancing!!

I wore flats on our wedding day.  It really didn’t matter if I wore flats or heels, no one saw my shoes except for our photographer and my husband.  I decided on flats for comfort and because our ceremony was outdoors.

I wore flats!  You couldn’t see them until I sat down πŸ™‚ Then you definitely could because my dress poofed up! The first pic is from during the ceremony – We had several pastors come up to pray for us… You can definitely see them!  And the second pic is the trendy shoes/socks pic πŸ™‚

I’m planning to wear flats. For me comfort is key – when I wear heels at work, I often take them off under my desk to “rest” my feet. But since I’m sure I’ll be going and going on the wedding day – flats it is! (Plus – Fiance is short – only about an inch taller than me, so that helped me decide as well)

I am wearing flats with my dress. We are having a huge wedding in an Orthodox church and even if people see my feet, so what? They’re still nice shoes, it’s not like going barefoot. My cousin got married in September and his wife wore flip flops with fowers on them. I don’t think I’d do that, but again no one ever sees your shoes. And if they do, no one will be like “Omg, she isn’t wearing heels!”

My sister found these Pour le Voire’s online for like $36.99!

And here is my dress:

@bump:  My ceremony was in a church too, I felt like it was totally acceptable! I’m just about 5’5″.  I was able to order my dress in a short length (which I think is made for people who are like 5’2″ and wanting to wear heals, but it worked for me too!) and I didn’t have to have it shortened at all!

My Fiance is shorter than I am and I never wear heals. I am also a 9.5W ….heals are not my friend. To top it off I am wearing ivory. I am actually wearing isotoner ivory slippers. Not my first choicebut it was all I could find in my size and comfort.

Flats are totally acceptable.

@bump:  I am 5’3″.    I thought I looked petite and adorable!  Haha!

Edited to add: Here’s a pic with me and my bridesmaids.  They were all taller than me, but I so didn’t care.

I’m a klutz in heels, and we’re getting married outside. Flats it is!

I may end up wearing flats because I have a bad back/disc injury and heels are not condusive to that…plus, my “isle” is brick….and I don’t want to trip!
