I will be wearing 1827 too, and I was going to go with colored shoes (my colors are navy blue and yellow), but then the shoes I wore while they were taking my measurements happened to be marked down from $95 to $25, so I couldn’t pass it up!! And I’m actually glad that I ended up getting the non-colored shoes.. My dress is ivory, and the shoes are white, but they are dying them ivory to match the dress.. Here’s a pic (sorry for bad pic quality, it was taken with a cell phone):

ETA: wowww that’s a big pic – sorry!!

I don’t think that blue shoes would be too much as long as you got the appropriate  shade of blue. I think that the Bridesmaid or Best Man Randalls would look lovely with that dress:

Here are some more “navy” shoes that I think would be good options:

The only way to know for sure, is to try them on with the dress!

I wore the Casablanca 1955 with navy blue shoes.  Honestly, I don’t think anyone ever even saw my shoes, except when I lifted my dress up for a picture!

Hello, fellow Casablanca 1827 bride! (It’s a popular day for this dress on the wedding boards!)

I haven’t found my shoes yet, but I am definitely going w/color. Our colors are purple and red, so I’m planning on tracking down purple shoes. I disagree w/your consultant. I think colored shoes add personality to the look w/out taking away from the dress.

My shoe was the Nina Forbes peep-toe in navy: http://www.endless.com/Nina-Womens-Forbes-Peep-Toe-Pump/dp/B002TKKEM8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&cAsin=B002TKKECS&fromPage=search&sr=1-3&qid=1311798432189&asins=B004O202G2%2CB001BBUVFQ%2CB002TKKECS%2CB001AHJSOG%2CB0045UB3EI%2CB004KQAZGE%2CB004M1PWC4%2CB004IO13K0%2CB003UYTF72%2CB003VEBBPA%2CB004J9CJPC%2CB004UPDE5Y%2CB003VEGQEG%2CB004MKNHNQ%2CB004MKNFHE%2CB004MKNEGG%2CB0045UB4BA%2CB0041RRWWC%2CB003UYTH7K%2CB0045UB3N4%2CB004J95274%2CB002TKKC02%2CB004MKNKGK%2CB0045UB3S4%2CB003UVAFNS%2CB00421AEQI%2CB004J959KE%2CB004J956T8%2CB004KQGOTQ%2CB001SAQZ0A%2CB003UVACMC%2CB003UYTHCA%2CB004MKNJ34%2CB003UVABUK%2CB004IT46TU%2CB003UVACFE%2CB003UYSZIC%2CB0041RRUGA%2CB00421AFJO%2CB00421ADFU%2CB00421AFOO%2CB003553IGU%2CB004UPDPFS%2CB004J95AI0%2CB003UYTDVK%2CB00502MM5Y%2CB003UVADPS%2CB0041RRXVW%2CB003UYTGYY%2CB003DZ01XK%2CB004UPH8CE%2CB003UYT0HC%2CB0045UB4J2%2CB004UPH0UY%2CB00421AF0S%2CB004M7JT2W%2CB003UVAD9E%2CB003UVAE52%2CB0045UB49M%2CB00421AFBW%2CB0027CTQPY%2CB003UYTE6E%2CB003DZ034M%2CB003UVAF7O%2CB004UPEQI8%2CB00421AE9A%2CB004J9ARDS%2CB0045UB42Y%2CB004J95A6C%2CB002TKKEU0%2CB002TKKIA6%2CB004KQ8Z9I%2CB004UPEJTY%2CB00421AE1S%2CB004MKNF92%2CB002TKKFJ0%2CB001SAR0EU%2CB00421AEKO%2CB004UPEWWI%2CB0040CZ7B6%2CB0045UB2YY%2CB004UPH0TK%2CB004MKNJKW%2CB0027FED1S%2CB004MKNEYS%2CB0041RRW90%2CB00421AD5K%2CB002TKKGNA%2CB003UYSX4I%2CB004J96V88%2CB0041RRV6E%2CB003UYSZ6E%2CB002TKKEB4%2CB0041RRUY2%2CB003DZ0298%2CB003UYSY2Y%2CB0027FEEG2%2CB002TKKDNS%2CB004UPEQ42%2CB0027FEDQI&asinTitle=Nina%20Forbes%20Peep-Toe%20Pump&contextTitle=search%20results&clientPageSize=100&brands=Nina&node=242169011&sort=relevance-fs-browse-rank

Here they are from the front:

Like I said earlier, unless you plan on picking up your dress in the middle of the ceremony, no one is ever going to see them! So I would go with the shoes that make you happiest, no matter what the color is 🙂

I bought yellow shoes to go with mine (my colors are yellow and gray) Im also getting maried outdoors and it’s ALL grass so I went with a wedge. I havent gotten my dress yet so I will have to wait and see how they look with it…. but our wedding is pretty casual. Barbeque grills, a barn and lots of dancing. Hope you found something that works!!!
