As I begin my search for THE dress, I’m also looking forward to my quest for shoes! I am looking for something flat to 1/4 inch heel, and I prefer strappy to closed toe.
Where did you buy your shoes? Is there a particular designer or website you would suggest?

Zappos.com and Shoebuy.com have very flexible shipping policies. I just ordered 4 pairs of shoes and 2 purses from Shoebuy.com – waiting for their arrival this week. For those that I don’t want I can box up and return for free.

MyGlassSlipper.com has a nice selection of bridal shoes and a wide range in their pricing. I got a pair of Stuart Weitzman wedges (outdoor ceremony). They also have fast shipping and are fairly flexible on their returns so you can buy multiple pairs and return what doesn’t work.

i like to look for shoes on zappos.com because of the reviews and great selection. they also have pictures from multiple points of view. i then look on amazon and google the style i like, often it can be found for cheaper. i’ve had good experiences with zappos, endless, and piperlime for returns (you don’t have to pay for any shipping).
if you want a designer pair of shoes, check out bluefly. it requires more diligence and patience, but they have some great deals (i just got a pair of metallic champagne kenneth cole heels for $75, less than 1/2 the original price).
for example, a pair of stuart weitzman slingbacks for $109 and cute peep toe taryn rose flats for $147.

I fell in LOVE with a pair of Stuart Weitzman’s at the Zappos Outlet store. (I live 20 miles from Zappo’s, don’t hate!) The problem was that I am 5’9" and my dress will only allow for a flat to 1 inch heel and my dream shoes were 3 inchers. After a long search, I finally found an acceptable pair of Dyables called "Kara" they are 1/2 inch and have an open toe. I am probably going to add a little bling or shoe clips to give them some oomph, but at right around 40 bucks – you can’t beat it!

Yeah, it’s pretty cool. It’s where all the returned and shoes with no boxes go to find new owners, as well as just end of stock shoes (and handbags).
