Cute shoes!  It’s your day and I’m sure your Bridesmaid or Best Man would get them if you really wanted them to have them.  I just told them black so they could get whatever type they are comfortable in.  I did purchase matching flip flops for the reception for them to wear.

How much are their dresses? I personally would be pretty PO’ed if I was asked to spend $80 on shoes on top of however much on a dress. TBH, the shoes are similar to dozens of other pairs that I’ve seen around for much less. Actually, I think Payless sells something just like it.

I didn’t really care about the shoes that my girls wore since their dresses were floor length. My only request was that they were gold/bronze since the dresses were burnt orange but not a single one of them followed that instruction. In the end it really didn’t matter since ya couldn’t see them anyway. They just wore a pair of shoes that they already owned and it was fine.

@UpstateCait:  I agree.  I wouldn’t be happy if I was asked to buy shoes on top of buying a dress.  I too just told my girls to wear any gold shoes of their choice and it worked out great.

I think if you want them in matching shoes, you should pay for the shoes.  Otherwise just give them guidelines on what type of shoe you want them to get.

$79 for shoes I’ll never wear again?  no thank you.  Especially if I already shelled out $$ for a dress I’ll never wear again.

20 dollars is not much at all to get a decent pair of shoes.  What about Payless or Wal-Mart??

@FutureMuniz:  Aww…well, I’m not sure if this is an option for you, but could you just ask the BM’s to wear their own black shoes?  That way you don’t have to worry about buying the shoes.  I just don’t think you could get a nice pair of shoes for only 20 dollars.

My girls got their shoes from david’s bridal and they cost $60. The dress was $100. I think the shoes are adorable, infact I am wearing the same designer now and I must add that they are comfy. However I agree $70 is a bit much and out of budget for the brides wallet. Not sure how much a price point could be on finding shoes that you like, $20 seems low at least for something comfortable for 6-8hrs of standing, dancing, mingling. However, like someone else mentioned look at pay less or Wal mart. Target if you have one or a famous footwear as well.
