So I decided to sell off a couple of my candy jars that I had been collecting and as I went through my “wedding pile” I began to realize exactly how big my pile had gotten! I just pulled all of my jars, dishes and containers out tonight and somehow over the course of the past couple of months I have ended up with 50+ of them! I haven’t completely finished going through my stuff yet and now I am terrified at what I may have bought and just don’t realize!
Has anyone else done anything like this or is going through this? This is COMPLETELY out of character for me but it’s almost like I can’t help but buy that awesome thing I see at the store or that cute thing online for the wedding (it’s all wedding related stuff).
I’m on the verge of giving my cards and money to my Fiance so I don’t spend anymore. It totally freaked me out tonight when I realize what I may have spent and was not in the budget. 🙁

One thing that I’ve found to keep me on track is to keep a photo log on my phone of everything I’ve bought for the wedding. (A little OCD, maybe.) 🙂 I have a seperate gallery and before I buy *any*thing wedding related, I scroll through and check to make sure I haven’t duplicated a purchase. It helps me a lot when thrifting/scrounging yard sales to make sure I don’t buy the same vase/jar/frame/craft supplies over and over. It also helps me keep things at least somewhat cohesive when I can scroll through and remind myself of the “look” and “feel” I’m going for.
Still, I must confess, I’m totally guilty of the “I don’t know how I’ll use it but it’s perfect for the wedding!” purchases. 🙂 Good luck!

@nerdybirdie: I’m so jealous of that idea. That’s very clever..
Yes, I bought random stuff I didn’t need too! My Future Mother-In-Law does all the time too, she sees cute stuff and is like ‘we should do this idea but I found all the cute stuff for it!’ it’s hilarious.
