I would buy a lot of MUFE, Nars, and Urban Decay products.

MUFE primer

MUFE HD foundation

mUFE full cover concealer or Bobbi Brown creamy

MUFE flash palette

Nars blushes

Urban Decay naked palette

Dior mascara

beauty blender and some brushes

Benefit high beam

Lorac liquid highlighters or Nars albatross

something to contour with

lash glue and lashes (not from Sephora though)

YSL lipsticks (love!)

Urban Decay makeup setting spray

Lancome bi-facil

Anastasia brow wiz (my fave!)

@Miss_Magoo82:  oh, and for eyeliner I love Bare Minerals round the clock (I think that’s the name) or gel eyeliners

I also love Laura Mercier foundations

nars has the best blushes. I LOVE tarte foundation.

Also Laura Mercier is freaking awesome. She has a bronzer/powder color block that I swear by. I forget exactly what it’s called..I thnk shimmer mosaic or shimmer bloc- but it is in a bronze square compact and has four different triangles of colors together in one square. It’s so awesome for a tiny touch of bronze without looking like a fake tan nightmare and it adds shimmer as well.

Benefit mascara has some of the best reviews around!

Personally…I think bare minerals suck. I used their entire line for quite sometime and I didn’t realize how crappy it was making my face look and feel. So glad I saw the light. Tarte foundation rules.

@gelaine22:  Loving all your choices !

OP, These are the products I’d recommend:

MUFE HD foundation is a MUST. It looks beautiful on the skin, and it photographs so well. I’d use a beauty blender to put it on.

Smashbox photofinish primer (I use the light version because i have oily skin–but both are awesome)

Urban Decay setting spray (I use the oily skin one, but there are a few different versions), it makes your makeup look flawless (I feel like it makes any powder products I’ve used just blend seemlessly in, so that it looks natural) and makes it stay put.

For a highlighter, I LOVE Boots No. 7 High Lights illuminating lotion – it’s super cheap (you can find it at Target for $13), but it’s soo pretty. It gives you a nice glow without looking too glittery.

I’d go with a gel liner – try Bobbi Brown or Mac, those are good.

For bronzer, try Soleil Tan de Chanel or Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. If not, make sure it’s matte.

For mascara, I swear by Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, but there are also amazing drug store options as well–Falsies by Mabeline is also one of my faves.

I would get the Dior Airflash aerosol foundation in place of the pro-airbrush.

Definitely get some good brushes, especially for eyeshadow.

NARS bronzer. Tarte blush.

A MUFE cream eyeshadow in a nice neutral base color, these are waterproof and won’t budge.

A neutral eyeshadow palette from Dior or the Lorac Pro Palette. This may be contreversial but i would avoid all Urban Decay eyeshadows even the Naked palettes. UD shadows produce a lot of fall down which is the last thing you want when doing your makeup for a big day.

Bobbi brown concealer for undereye and any blemishes (although the Airflash) is really good coverage.

NARS Larger than Life eyeliner – I’d probably get black and the taupe color to use in my lower water line.

UD All Nighter Setting Spray to hold everything together.

YSL Glossy Stain in Coral or a nice dusty rose for lips.

Benefit They’re Real mascara in the waterproof formula, and a half strip of lashes.

Since my first post was so unhelpful, here are my favorite makeup things. I don’t know what Sephora sells but these are the things I would buy if I were not so cheap:

-Smashbox photo finish green primer (I LIVE for green primer)

-E.L.F. powder foundation in the lightest imaginable shade

-E.L.F. sheer “booster” powder

-Lime crime liquid eyeliner in approximately every color of the rainbow

-Any black mascara with a THIN wand. Like superskinny. It’s the opposite of what you’d think would be good but it is magical for me.

-The fattest, most absurd doll like fake eyelashes in whatever shop I’m in

-Urban Decay lip envy in Envious

And I really want to plug for Etude House “Goodbye Pore Ever” cream, and Innisfree  green tea serum, but they’re Korean so you probably don’t want to pay shipping on that.

I have oily skin, and this is what I wear on my skin that lasts all day and looks awesome and NOT CAKEY at all:

– Tarte “Clean Slate Poreless 12-hour Perfecting Primer”: This stuff is INCREDIBALLS. I’ve literally tried about 7 different primers (my skin is oily and gets shiny about 10 mins after I put makeup on.) and this, THIS, I swear to God, is the ONLY primer that actually WORKS. I stay matte for a good hour before I need a teeny little blot and then I’m good to go again for another hour.

-Tarte “Amazonian Clay foundation”: This stuff is a little thick, but you don’t need a lot. It has medium coverage, and evens out skintone beaaauuuutifully. It also leaves kind of a matte finish, so you can get away without needing powder afterward.

-Nars “Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder”: This stuff is expensive, and I don’t like spending this much on makeup… but holy crap. It’s awesome. It looks like white shimmer. But it applies to your skin invisible! I like it because it doesn’t add any more color to my face (like normal powder) so it doesn’t make my face look cakey with beige. It just sets the foundation, and makes your pores disappear.

-Any Nars blush. They’re all AWESOME. Lovely shades, highly pigmented… some of them have glitter though, so just be mindful. But they stay for 8+ hours 🙂

I’m not much help as far as lipgloss/lipstick, so I can’t recommend anything solid. But I swear by all of those face products ^ there. Seriously, if any of those ever becomes discontinued, I’m going to breakdown and cry. lol
