@Niqs:  Oh honey, be proud! That seriously is one amazing, striking and gorgeous photograph! If I looked like that with makeup and hair done I’d be cooing like a peacock lol. Lord a mercy! That red, with those eyes, with that sultry ethnic look is just beautiful!

My SO and I have been together for almost 7 years and I’m 5’0″ (on a good day) and he’s 6’4″. I totally don’t notice his height anymore (unless I see another tall person and realize they must be tall if they’re close to his height) but people always “Awww” when he lifts me up to kiss me, I love that haha.  I’m excited that for when he proposes we’ll be nearly face to face instead of him being way lower haha.

sherryberry:  Same here! It seems to blow people’s minds when I tell them there is 16 inches difference in our height. Does he ever rest his arm on your head? hahaha my SO definitely does :/

Alexis22:  This is what I did! He’s a full foot taller than me and I wore 4′ heels for the formal stuff (ceremony, pictures, first dances) then I changed into flats for the rest of the reception. I liked my heels a lot but I was exhausted about halfway through the reception and needed to relax a little while we danced and partied around. So I guess you weren’t really asking but that’s what I suggest!

As far as noticing it–I notice it all the time when we’re standing up. I obviously don’t mind it though. Seeing my (on the shorter side for guys) dad and my husband stand next to each other is strange for me. I definitely feel like my dad is the strongest man ever, and since I’m so small I never thought of him as short statured until my husband came around!

I’m 5’4” and Fiance is 6’8”, I love the height difference I can wear whatever shoes I want without worrying about whether or not he’ll still be taller than I am :-)!  We have our first round of engagement photos this weekend, I’m curious to see how they’ll turn out.

I’m 5’4 and he’s 6’6″. And yeah…nowadays I only notice it when he’s next to anyone ELSE! Hahahahahaha. This picture made me laugh tho.

I am 5’0 and my husband is 6’0. I very rarely wear heels so the height difference between us almost never gets smaller! One time we went out together with my sister and her husband at the beginning of our relationship for dinner and I decided to wear heels. My husband found it really strange because I was now taller than he was used to! 

I wore heels for our wedding (they came off quite quickly) and my husband joked prior that he was worried he would whack me in the face when he went to put his arm around me!

I’m 5’4″ and Fiance is 6’3″ and I rarely notice anymore. Then again I’m always wearing about 5 inch heels all the time so I can really tell when Im barefoot LOL.
